LA MAIRIE D'ARTHON
Description
Around 1910, the school was housed alongside the town hall. In the 1930s, there was no other place to put the town's electricity transformer.
Around 1970, the school was moved. But the transformer is still there. A few years later, Radio Chrono made its appearance on the Pays de Retz FM band. The premises are those of the house behind the electricity transformer. This house has now been demolished and the electric transformer moved.
Today, the building has been restored to its former glory. And the town hall continues to grow, with a new renovation and extension planned for 2019.
