In 1928, Mr. Dubourg asks for the setting-up of a blast furnace with 3 fires of refinery, an oven with streetlight to warm and 4 cylinders of foundry, to replace a flour mill. In the low part, you can perceive the vestiges of a blast furnace which you will discover under the vegetation, which activity definitively stopped in 1890. Of a height of 30m, this blast furnace still shows its scraps used to its consolidation. On the road of Maoubos, you will distinguish the rests of the loading ramp used to pour the coal in the mouth of the blast furnace.

It finally closed down in 1901 after a few conflicts with the workers. Mr & Mrs Boulart sold the forge to Chappée Industry which settle in Peyrouton, a borough of Dax, until the 70s.

Along the dike overlooking the Adour, you enter this undergrowth surrounded with common oaks. The wood functions as an overflow system during large floods. 1km ahead, the Executed Stele commemorates four young Dax resisters shot by the Germans in 1944. The oak of Nerthe, located in the commune of Magescq, is a vigorous oak, without any wounds, without dead branches, a young oak in sum of 600 years. It is 27 metres high, the circumference of the trunk measures 6.40 metres to 1.60 metres high. An impressive and magnificent oak, which is worth the detour. You can eventually get there by car, but the path is somewhat difficult. It is easier to get there on foot, as part of a walk of about 1 km

This bridge used to bind Bordeaux to Hendaye and the Emperor may have crossed it in 1814 while traveling to Bayonne.

Before French Revolution, this former flour mill belonged to the Barnabites in Dax. During French Restauration, Bertrand Geoffroy, owner of the property nearby, bought the domain and converted it in an iron factory closed in 1978.
