You set off from Pontenx-les-Forges, a charming village of garluche (rust-colored stone) buildings. You head for Lüe, a small village with a rich historical heritage. You then head through the forest along the old railroad line to the village of Labouheyre. As you enter Labouheyre, you pass the Maison de la Photographie des Landes, the birthplace of Felix Arnaudin. Leaving Labouheyre, the voie verte runs deep into the forest. You arrive at Commensacq. The voie verte returns to the heart of the Landes forest until you reach the Eiffel bridge. A few kilometers further on, you arrive at the Ecomusée de Marquèze train station before reaching the town of Sabres. There are no technical difficulties to report. This route, built on the right-of-way of an old railroad line, has a very slight gradient. The route is ideal for families.

The cycle track that links Gastes to Sainte Eulalie en Born is winding. It runs along the pine trees and the landscape slowly changes. The tall pines have given way to a different vegetation, where ferns and coppices reign supreme.

The church of Saint Michael is the 3rd church in Bias and dates from 1906. The two previous ones have suffered the advance of sands and waters. Inside there is a processional cross from the 15th century, made of oak. Behind the church is the St. Michael's Fountain, which was used to treat stomach, kidney and skin ailments.

Due to the poor condition of the old church, the construction of a new church was decided in November 1879. It was consecrated in neo-gothic style on May 3, 1891. All the statues date from the end of the 19th century. The high altar is in neoclassical style and represents the Last Supper. A gilded wooden statue of the Virgin Mary dating from the 17th century is installed in the north chapel. The symphonic organ was built in 1888. But it is only in 2003 that it will be bought by the association of the friends of the organ.

The church of the former Benedictine Priory of St. Mary formed the heart of a space called "sauveté". This "sauveté" was closely linked to the notion of the right of asylum. The salvage area was delimited by boundary stones or pyramids Of the 9 "pyramids" that existed in the 19th century, there are currently more than 5, but their foundations, which were buried in sand (up to 2m) over the past centuries, were thus protected from total destruction.
