This route through the heart of the Chartreuse goes through the Gorges du Guiers and the spectacular Pas du Frou. It then snakes through the Gorges du Cozon and up to the Col de la Cluse, which offers an unfamiliar view of Mont Granier.

This nice loop reaches Lake Aiguebelette, and comes back to its starting point through the splendid hill of Saint-Franc. It is named after Queen Victoria, who might have spent time at the castle of La Bauche to enjoy the benefits of ferruginous water. Can be started from the Maison du lac d'Aiguebelette.

Located at the junction of the 2 Guiers Rivers, the Sauget is a nice artificial lake of 1ha. It welcomes an important population of roaches, tenches, carps and some pikes. Accessible for person with reduced mobility thanks to an equipped track, pontoon and a carpark. No Kill fishing for all species except pike (catch of one pike per day) Large numbers of roach and rotengle can be caught using any technique, from a simple rod and reel to a waggler, corn, maggot or worm with a good groundbait. On the lake, the best times are from April to the end of September. Common carp, leather or mirror, can be fished with boilies, corn hairs or all bottom baits. Tench, beautiful and majestic, often wandering along the bottom on hot summer days, can be a thrill to catch in the evening. The perch, a beautiful zebra, is not very abundant in the lake, but it is home to some large specimens: fishing for it with a spoon or lure can provide some pleasant surprises. Pike, also in small numbers as they have never been stocked, are nevertheless present with some fine specimens, and who knows? The chance of a livebait or a lure could give this magnificent fish a superb fight.

The museum, created in 1989, is located in an old house in the Saint-Bruno district. It presents the studio fund of the painter Lucien Mainssieux and the collection of works he built up throughout his life, mainly paintings from the 19h and 20th centuries. Throughout his life, Lucien Mainssieux (1885-1958) collected works dating from the end of the 19th century, as well as those of his fellow students. He had an obsession : to create a museum for these works and to be its custodian… This collection is the testimony of the glance of the artist on the art, so its interests for the landscape painters of the XIX° century, for the Orientalist works as well as for his contemporaries and friends.

The tourist and cultural site of the Caves de la Chartreuse invites you to discover the world of liqueur, the exceptional heritage and the know-how of the Carthusian monks through a new series of guided tours. As you enter this new museum space, you will stroll through the old production site in 7 spaces that symbolize the major periods in the history of Chartreuse liqueurs. From the origins of the Elixir to the birth of the liqueur or the foundation of the brand, you will be able to see nearly 1200 original pieces, never before exhibited. The tour continues through a space entirely dedicated to the plants that represent the basis of the manufacture of the monks' liqueurs. Here, all your senses will be awakened, you can taste, see, touch and smell. Before entering the historic cellar of Voiron, you will cross the atrium which gives pride of place to the Chartreuse massif, where the monks have been living for nearly a thousand years. A rare 11th-century Romanesque church listed as a Historic Monument, open to visitors and hosting one of France's oldest Chamber Music Festivals, free concerts and temporary contemporary art exhibitions.
