One of the best means to discover the Presqu'île de Lège-Cap Ferret and to pose a new glance on its inheritance is the bicycle. Departure since the halte cyclotouriste of Lège (old station reorganized) on a cycle track leading to the Cabane du Résinier (one of the last built witnesses of the activity of gemmage and one of the points of departure to visit the natural reserve of the Salt Meadows) then direction the Grand Crohot (beach océane), crossing of the forest on the shaded cycle tracks and return by the center of the village of Lège. This circuit is realizable by all the family with the chart of the cycle tracks and a plan of city available free at the Tourist office.

Departure since the carpark of the Reservoirs of Piraillan, the lanes of "Piraillan Forest" direction L'Herbe and discovery of its oyster village, one of most typical of the Presqu'île. Then cross the forest on the shaded cycle tracks to Truc Vert and its ocean beach and return to the Piraillan Reservoirs (protected natural site offering 2 discovery circuits). This tour can be done by the whole family with the map of the cycle paths and a town map available free of charge at the Tourist Office.

Go to the Prés Salés nature reserve and cross this space with its different landscapes (reservoirs, forest, salt meadow, dunes...). The footbridge that blends into the landscape allows you to cross the canal of the ponds and to access the part that the locals call the "desert". This walk allows you to discover one of the most important sites of Arès. Through this loop. You cross the dyked and forested part of the reserve. Houses built in 1924 by the architect Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, known as Le Corbusier, and his cousin and partner Pierre Jeanneret. These houses are part of a workers' housing estate of ten dwellings (known as the "Moroccan" district), intended for the workers of a factory producing wooden crates for sugar packaging, a factory belonging to the sugar industrialist Henry Frugès. Seven houses of this housing estate are protected by historical monuments. They are all inhabited and cannot be visited inside.

The thirty or so huts, coloured yellow, blue or green, house the equipment needed to grow oysters. This atypical site is composed of 2 darses (equivalent to streets) in the middle of which you will find many empty oyster bags, drying. At the beginning of the summer, the whitewashed tiles contribute to the decoration and authenticity of the port. They are used for shellfish collection in the parks. The only boats present, the "plates" or "barges", are used at the tide by the oyster farmers. Revenues loaded with oyster bags, the shells are then refined in the "claires" (filled with fresh water).
