Concentrate hard and you'll find the right answers. To play this game, free of charge, push the doors of the Tourist Office and ask for the roadmap. Célia will also give you a poster on which you place the stickers collected throughout the Gironde.

You will appreciate the Port Ostréicole of Arès and its string of blue, yellow and green oyster huts. Everyone in his own way spends a pleasant moment there. Gastronomes, you will enjoy yourself in one of the restaurants, installed on the port for the summer. If you prefer to taste oysters and other shellfish from the Bay of Arcachon, stop for a few moments in one of the huts that offer delicious seafood platters. A walk for the whole family, on foot or with a pushchair, to discover a little-known place in Arès: the MGEN park and its Rabbit Trail! On the way, discover the emblematic sites of Arès: oyster port, Arès pier and UFO port! Enough to take many pictures with your children.

This walk allows you to discover one of the most important sites of Arès. Through this loop. You cross the dyked and forested part of the reserve. From February to October, the Tourist Office offers guided tours with a naturalist guide. To know the detailed program, consult the heading Agenda. Go to the Prés Salés nature reserve and cross this space with its different landscapes (reservoirs, forest, salt meadow, dunes...). The footbridge that blends into the landscape allows you to cross the canal of the ponds and to access the part that the locals call the "desert". In the village of Claouey, the campsite "Les Pastourelles" is located right on the beach. Nearby, you'll find the market, the nautical club, and the bike path to explore the peninsula. Some pitches are equipped with mobile homes and offer a 180° view of the Bassin, while other pitches are available under the pines in lodge tents. You can also come with your own tent, caravan, or motorhome. At the Cabane des Pastourelles, the reception staff will serve you your best holiday experiences on a platter. Intended to accommodate children of fragile health and modest condition, this building was built in 1913 at the instigation of Mrs. Wallerstein. This reception area, located on the beach, also opens onto the pool through a sunny gallery with sun loungers. The architects Charles Duval and Emmanuel Gonse built these buildings. The dining room is decorated with magnificent frescoes by the painter Henri Marret. It was in 1971 that the Aérium closed its doors, after having welcomed 3000 children.

Located at the end of the Avenue de la Plage, this old mill now looks like a watchtower, with its crown of battlements. Formerly a windmill, it was located on the estate of the Château. It was built in 1840 by Louis-David Allègre and abandoned when the railway arrived.

Walkers can walk on the Bassin d'Arcachon via the Arès pier. The Arès pier, built in the 18th century, is the simplest and oldest of the Arcachon basin. It is a long cement stone path that looks like a quay. Near the pier, you will find today, the oviport and its flying saucer, as well as a playground on the beach. From the jetty, take the path that runs along the basin to the right, for a 10 min walk to the Oyster Port.

The commune of Arès wanted to highlight the motto, but also the values that are dear to all of us, the values of the Republic: "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, Laïcité" (Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, Secularity). Built between 1868 and 1878, this church contains many curiosities. Composed of hard stones from St-Savinien (Charente-Maritime), its bell tower faces east which is the point of sunrise on September 27th (St Vincent's day). By pushing the oak doors of this religious monument, you will discover the organs installed in 1973. Atypical elements, the clams are actually 2 tridacne shells (shells from the tropics). The stained glass windows were created by the master enameller Raymond Mirande (born in 1932 in Bordeaux). It is to him that we also owe the stained glass windows of the churches of Andernos-les-Bains and St-Emilion.
