The territory of Saint-Laurent-Médoc is mostly located in the Haut-Médoc appellation. This route takes you through woods and vineyards along the water for a very nice walk. The topoguide map is available at the Tourist Office.

Legend has it that a giant snake once terrified the local inhabitants. The Liron, as it was called, hissed so loudly that cattle stopped working when they heard it. Its head was as big as a tree, its body covered in moss and its undulating movements reminiscent of water, omnipresent in these wetlands. Follow in the footsteps of the Liron as we wind our way past traditional hedgerows, typical Médoc vineyards and peaceful jalles. And if you hear a whistle? Don't worry: the Liron left these parts a long time ago. Keep your eyes peeled: it's probably a kingfisher!

Welcome to the commune of Saint-Julien Beychevelle. You can walk or cycle along the interpretation trail from the village to the estuary, from the estuary to the vineyards and the châteaux. There are 9 markers along the way telling you the history of Saint Julien. In addition to the history, this trail will offer you exceptional views of the estuary, the village and the landscapes of vineyards and castles.

Children aged 6 to 12, accompanied by their parents, will discover the charms of Pauillac for an hour by following the game "On Robin's tracks" presented in the form of a treasure hunt and fun riddles. A gift will be on offer! Bring your pencils to fill in the booklet.

Welcome to Pauillac, one of the world's wine capitals. This itinerary of small roads offers you 2 walking (or cycling) loops of 8 and 14 km, and invites you to discover some of the great wine estates of the Pauillac appellation.

Famous for its terroir and its exceptional wines, the town of Pauillac also offers a very pleasant route along the Gironde. The Gironde is the meeting point of the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, an estuary 75 km long and 12 km wide at its mouth. Still wild and preserved, the Gironde estuary is particularly known by photographers for its exceptional lights depending on the time of day and the season. The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a pushchair or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), proposed by the French Federation of Rambling of the Gironde.

In Pauillac, the route follows the estuary and the vineyard to the port of Saint-Julien-de-Beychevelle, where a picnic area offers a spectacular view of the Gironde and its “carrelets.” The arrival at Fort Médoc marks the end of this stage. Classified as a Historical Monument, this iconic site in Gironde was built by Vauban in 1689. This structure is part of the Vauban Lock, a unique defensive triptych in France, also including the Citadel of Blaye and Fort-Pâté.

Travel through time is possible at Château de Camensac through a visit of the estate followed by a vertical tasting of our wines to follow the evolution of the grape varieties and the terroir. Dive into the secrets of a Grand Cru Classé in 1855 around the vintages, 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015.

Château de Camensac, fifth classified growth in 1855, invites you to discover its world through its 18th century Charterhouse, its vat room and its ageing cellars. Visit of the 18th century charterhouse, the vineyard and the cellars, followed by a tasting.

Accommodation in an old stone wine storehouse in the heart of a family wine estate. The house is in the heart of the Medoc vineyards and only 5 minutes from Pauillac and its chateaux, 25 minutes from the ocean (Hourtin) and 45 minutes from Bordeaux. A visit of the property and a wine tasting is included if you wish.

The Château du Hâ, located in Saint-Sauveur, welcomes you with conviviality in a chalet of 36 m² between vineyard and horse breeding. You have the possibility to come on holiday with your horse, at your disposal: stable, box, meadow and superb walks!

Le Goûter très Mérité, with a treasure hunt (weather permitting). For the greediest and bravest, there's no visit to the winery, but a treasure hunt in the vineyards with the whole family, telling you all about the estate's biodiversity (approx. 1 hour). Once the treasure has been found, we join together for a wine tasting for the older guests (4 vintages of Château Hourtin-Ducasse, including the primeur vintage) and grape juice tasting for the younger ones (2 juices made from different grape varieties), around a plate of sweet and savoury cannelés, all homemade. We continue with our rosé, Les Roses de Marie, and our spirit drink, noGGIN, two lovely fresh drinks, also made from our grapes; just for parents!

We start with a guided tour of the cellars (with plenty of riddles for the kids to keep the discovery fun), where we present our techniques for working with the vines and our experiments in vinification and ageing. We continue with a wine tasting for the older guests (4 vintages of Château Hourtin-Ducasse, including the en primeur vintage) and grape juice tasting for the younger guests (2 juices made from different grape varieties), around a plate of sweet and savoury cannelés, all homemade. We continue with our rosé, Les Roses de Marie, and our spirit drink, noGGIN, two lovely fresh drinks, also made from our grapes; just for parents!

Picnic in the Garden, after the visit of your choice. Seated between 2 rows of vines or at L'Abri (weather permitting), you'll enjoy a pretty table with linen napkins, tablecloth, glasses and cutlery... and a basket full of local produce. Cagette de la Ferme or Cagette du Pêcheur - it's up to you to choose your menu once you've chosen your visit! By appointment, all year round, up to 10 people.

Strolling through our vineyard plots (if the weather doesn?t permit, we?ll stroll through the cellars), we focus on our grape varieties and our convictions regarding the care of our vines: herbal infusions, nesting boxes for bats and blue tits, Landes ewes in the vines, weaving... Then, seated among the barrels, over a plate of local produce, we taste 4 vintages, including the en primeur wine taken from the barrels beforehand. We continue with our rosé, Les Roses de Marie, and our spirituous beverage, noGGIN, two lovely freshnesses, also made from our grapes, accompanied by some homemade cannelés.

This building, dedicated to Saint Laurentus (hence the name of the municipality), is first mentioned in 1099, and the parish, as a territory, dates back to around 1175. Located in the centre of the village, the present church dates back to the 12th and 19th centuries. It was in fact deeply modified over time due to separate building campaigns.

The property was bought in 2000 by Madeleine and Jacques Philippe who were fulfilling a dream: she, because she was originally from Bordeaux, was returning to her roots, he, an engineer by training, after a career in a large service group, wanted to become a winegrower. The dream became reality and is still going on: - the Château was promoted "Cru Bourgeois" in 2003, - the Château won the "Coupe des Crus Bourgeois" in 2011 with the 2008 vintage. The property has started its conversion to Organic Agriculture in 2015. It is certified AB since the 2018 vintage.

Located in a park of half a hectare in the heart of the Médoc, come and discover the secrets of the making of our Médoc beer. Visit the brewery with entertaining explanations of the brewing process to the bottle. The visit will be followed by a tasting. We propose for the children a tasting of home-made lemonade. On the spot, our shop of regional products in which you find in particular a wine of our production: Château Meylan.

A chartreuse (large stone manor, typical of the Gironde countryside), dating from the 18th century. This very ancient seigniorial property was restored by the greatest architect of Bordeaux, Victor Louis, who built the Grand Théâtre in Bordeaux at about the same time (1776).

Château Larose Trintaudon has received the "Vineyards and Discoveries" label, which is awarded to establishments offering quality wine tourism services. The is currently closed to visits due to ongoing construction work. We will welcome you with pleasure for tastings and sales at Château Larose Trintaudon and visits and tastings at Château Arnauld in Arcins.

The Bernos Fountain is of Gallic origin. The Gauls worshipped water divinities, and the druids celebrated their cult in clearings where the sun could penetrate, close to ferruginous springs considered to be divinities. The spiritual life of the Gauls occupied an important place in their social group. The Druids, dressed in white as a symbol of purity of light and the immortality of the soul, led gatherings in the forest that had become a temple. The Fontaine de Bernos is a site rich in legend and mystery. Its circular shape, its ferruginous waters, the arch that marks its entrance and which once held a doorway, its surrounding oak trees. Its legends strongly suggest that Druidic and Celtic cults took place around this fountain, which has never been seen to dry up.
