Welcome to the Mallevieille loop, a 7.3 km loop in the commune of Monfaucon. At the gates of the AOC Montravel appellation, you will discover its vineyard and perhaps traces of the presence of prehistoric men who lived in the Magdalenian period at the place called Gabastou..

This bike ride, on the greenway linking the Périgord to the Bordeaux region, allows you to discover the Isle river which runs for 180 km in the department before flowing into the Dordogne at Libourne. This river has been fitted out with canals and locks for the transport of goods by flat-bottomed boats. The mill of Duellas, today a place of reception, animations and boat trips, was also used as a relay for the boatmen.

Shared roads and bicycle paths allow to reach the country of Gurson. The castle of Gurson, of which only vestiges remain, used to watch over the surrounding villages, and has for some years now dominated a lake that has been converted into a departmental leisure center.

Come and discover the Domaine de la Picherie in the company of Valérie, a beekeeper for more than 10 years, whose aim is to produce in a way that respects the environment: presentation of beekeeping, tour of the farm. Royal jelly and honey are produced on site. The royal jelly is certified Gelée Royale Française. There's also a playful garden along the farm's itinerary for families, friends, professionals and schools to discover.

Very little is known about the history of this building. It is mentioned in the 1398 list of parishes in the diocese. Its history became clearer in the 16th century. In 1569, the archbishopric proclaimed the union of the church of Saint-Martin de Montagne with the deanery of Saint-Emilion. The church has a Latin cross plan, typical of the 12th century. The single nave, which was covered with vaulting in the 19th century, continues to the east with a wide, projecting transept, which was itself vaulted in the Romanesque period. This part of the church is unusual in that it has three types of vault: a cupola on the north arm, a ribbed cupola on the square of the transept and a pointed barrel vault on the south arm. The organic garden is a market garden conducted in Organic Agriculture since 2012. There are vegetables, fruit trees and medicinal plants. Sale at the farm every Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm. Products are transformed according to the present and seasonal productions: kefir, plant balms, jams, juices, syrups .. As the seasons go by, the garden also welcomes visitors either through proposals (story-telling walks, thematic workshops), or by answering requests (group discovery of the garden, school projects, a summer course called "from the vegetable garden to the medicinal") Our desire is to share with others and to pass on our daily work, to raise awareness of a diet and production that respects living things in the context of a peasant farm.

1610: This is the date when the BARDE family tree began to flourish in the commune of Saint Méard de Gurçon. Since that time succeeding generations have formed the present inheritance. Here in “Perigord Pourpre”, the BARDE family practice the art of wine-making over their 60 hectares of vineyards, divided up as follows: -30 ha white wine varieties : Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle. -30 ha red wine varieties : Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Grown on wires that are staked in lines . This ancient abode situated to the west of Bergerac (30 km), though not a country seat, it is however a landowners home dating from the 17 th century. On the mansard roof sit two splendid weathervanes marked with fleur-de-lis and representing dolphins.

Free visit of spirulina farm and tasting from june to october every monday and friday between 2:00 to 7:00 pm.

Burger Trotter is the food truck not to be missed in the Isle Valley.
