An ancient pilgrimage route of 180 kilometres from the Périgord to Rocamadour, this magnificent route allows you to cross the vineyards and hills of Bergerac in complete safety, before skirting the green Dordogne valley and its cliffs, to arrive in the Ouysse. This third stage takes you from Bardou to Beaumont, where you can admire the castle and the church of Bardou as well as the pretty village of Naussanes and its old houses, notably the Hospitaller house of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem and the Clos Saint Antoine.

Visit the village and then discover the architecture of the Périgord: the beautiful Carthusian monastery of Entraygues, the stone houses in the hamlet of "Les Bouyjoux". During the walk, you will notice ponds, built springs and wells which attest to the presence of resurgences located below the village. You will also see along the way some pigeon lofts integrated into the isolated habitat.

Welcome to the town of Monsac, in the heart of the Bergerac region, the loop of the Château de Monsac takes you through this charming village with its church, its castle, its small streets, its numerous crosses... Have a good hike.

The commune of Monsac must have been inhabited by the first men who trod the Périgord. The plateaus of the commune provided and still conceal many instruments of the time of the cut stone. Large axe workshops were set up there. Nails testify to the Gallic period and the stone tombs remind us of the Roman period.

Discover the pretty village of St-Léon-d'Issigeac with its beautiful stone houses and its flowery town centre. Formerly called St-Léon-de-Cugnac or de Roquepine, this name would refer to St-Léonce who was bishop of Périgueux in the 6th century. Its church, reworked in the 19th century, has three naves and a bell with inscriptions. Nearby, there is a stone calvary from the 18th century, the base of which seems to be an old altar.

Apart from its church, Beaumont also offers relatively well preserved ramparts. An hour's walk from Beaumont, we reach Saint-Avit-Sénieur. Here again we are surprised by the monumentality of the fortified abbey church.

On the left bank of the Dordogne, 20km from Bergerac, the Rouzique paper mill is located west of Couze-et-Saint-Front. Thanks to the river's regular flow, the quality of its water and its location, this village has been the cradle of paper-making in the South-West since the 15th century. The presence of the La Rouzique paper mill is attested as early as 1530. Now the Écono-musée du papier chiffon, it is still in operation. In the company of the paper-maker and guides from the Au Fil du Temps association, immerse yourself in the world of rag paper. Your guide will tell you all about the history of paper, and explain why the paper mill developed here, between Couze and Dordogne. Visit the various buildings on the site, then discover how small pieces of fabric are transformed into sheets of paper. Every day in summer, make your own sheet and take it with you!

Sylvie invites you to discover her sheep breeding and to taste her lamb. She works on a 40ha farm property located in the commune of Monsac, near the Bastide de Beaumont du Périgord in the Périgord Pourpre. The traditional buildings of the farm have been restored for the reception in gîtes while the modern sheepfold (made of wood) has been designed for traditional breeding and to facilitate the visit.

Le Clos du Breil is a family farm located near the medieval village of Issigeac. The estate comprises 16 hectares of vines At Le Clos du Breil the work in the vineyard and the vinification are dictated by several principles: patience, humility and sharing. Great attention is paid to the work of the vine (no chemical weeding for 10 years, in organic conversion) in order to magnify the expression of the terroir composed of Issigeac limestone mixed with flint. In order to offer a range of wines in line with our principles, we harvest our plots according to the aromatic evolution of the berries. We take care to vinify each parcel and each grape variety separately until the final blend. We offer different vintages. Wines that are supple on the fruit and wines of character that make the reputation of the estate.
