A rich environment on the Leyre delta, the Domaine de Certes lies on one of the most important migration routes for avifauna, and is an internationally important migration site for many bird species, including the Eurasian spoonbill. Owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral and managed by the Departmental Council of the Gironde, the Domaine de Graveyron is a protected sensitive natural area located in the continuity of the coastal path that borders the Bay of Arcachon. A fish reservoir in the 19th century, it is now home to a large number of bird species that mingle with a green flora. Departures are mainly from the port of Audenge for a loop of about 5 km. The commune of Lanton is made up of several villages which are called : Lanton, Cassy, Taussat and Blagon. A former seaside resort, Taussat-les-Bains is home to magnificent buildings that are called "Les belles de Taussat". Home of some celebrities who came there to recharge their batteries on the Bassin d'Arcachon, they contain many secrets. Go and meet them, they will tell you their story!

The Bétey port, entirely dedicated to oyster farming, was built in 1932 on the mouth river of the same name. In 1982, it was developed to become the sailing harbour of Andernos-les-Bains and is now home to 151 boats. On its left you have the Bétey beach, near a wooded parc (Bétey Dune) and a children's playground. The Bétey rises in the town of Querquillas and flows into the sailing harbour. The river has its name from the Gascon "woodcock net" and divides the city in two. It has only been crossed by a wooden bridge in 1839. In winter near the cemetery, you will find a "rusty" spring, where traces of a prehistoric settlement were discovered. Walk along the banks to discover an amazing fauna and flora : royal fern, the european pond turtle and many others...

The little Amazon will reveal its secrets to those who know how to listen and observe. An unspoilt, protected territory, man has nevertheless left his mark on the delta formed by the Leyre, with its locks and salt meadows. Beneath the gallery forest, enjoy the peace and quiet. Château de Certes is a beautiful chartreuse constructed by the Marquis de Civrac, and is currently undergoing restoration work.

The pine forests of the Landes de Gascogne are omnipresent in the three communes of Lanton, Audenge and Biganos: 3000 hectares of forest in Biganos, 1800 hectares in Audenge and more than 11,000 hectares in Lanton, the third most forest-covered commune in France ... The “Domaine de Certes” in Audenge is the property of the Conservatoire du Littoral, and is a migratory site of major international importance for many species of birds, including the white spoonbill. This ancient salt marsh is now devoted to protection of natural milieus.
