Starting from Salles sur Cérou, this tour takes you to Monestiés, one of the most beautiful villages in France, following the old railway line between Carmaux and Cordes. The Voix du Cérou circuit is perfect for a family ride. Sitting on the saddle, you don't need to exert yourself to cover the 15 kilometres of the route. From Salles-sur-Cérou, you leave the road to join the old railway line to Monestiès. The track is flat, wide, and shaded by the vegetation along the river Cérou. Once you arrive in Monestiès, classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France, you will find many picnic tables for your lunch stop. Before getting back on your bikes, take the time to discover the narrow streets and beautiful houses of Monestiès. The medieval town also has two sites to visit: the tomb and the Bajen-Vega museum. It is on leaving Monestiès that you will have to make an effort to climb the Jouvenate hill. Once at the top, you will have to turn around to admire the beautiful view of the village below. The return to Salles is a leisurely walk along the Zère stream. This hike will take you from the Sérénac plateau to the Tarn valley. It forms a loop around the Méridienne verte. A few heritage features mark out its route. t the start, on your right, you can see the Albigensian plain in the distance. During your walk, you will cross agricultural areas, oak and chestnut woods. In Pécotte, a small place in the commune where two farms are located for market gardening, you will see above all the "bac de Pécotte". It was one of the links between the two banks of the Tarn. It was put into service in 1880. Its activity ceased in 1960. Every year, on the third weekend of July, a festival is organised around this ferry. You will then go along the Tarn before reaching the high plateau where you can discover beautiful landscapes towards Alban, Assac, Valence d'Albigeois...

Discover the Gaillac vineyards through this Œnorando. Some winegrowers have diversified into olive growing, sometimes even converting to it, simply because they are passionate about it or because the climate is changing for the worse. However, growing olives is not the same as growing vines. This is a major challenge, because while some wine-growing land may be suitable for olive cultivation, its long-term profitability remains subject to the risk of a water shortage or the severe frost still possible in our region. It's a challenge that a few people have decided to take up, betting on a quality market, the craze for short circuits, little local competition and the revival of a somewhat forgotten method of cultivation. The combination of trees and vines, known as agroforestry, is an ancient practice that has long shaped Mediterranean landscapes through the trilogy of olive trees, vines and wheat, and is still practised in some parts of Europe, where cherry trees, peach trees, almond trees and truffle oaks are still grown alongside vines. Trees limit climatic excesses, improve the soil and, by bringing water up from the depths to the surface, also improve water resources. Following the left bank of the Tarn for 3 km, the Chemin de la Beaute (from the word "Veaute" or "voute") follows the meander around a wooded ridge overlooking the river by 150 to 200 metres. Around a schistose needle, the Tarn makes a long loop of 3 km. When the river seems to turn back, the peninsula of Ambialet is only about thirty metres wide. This unique site, which was for more than two centuries the most important stronghold of the Albigensian region, still bears the traces of a prestigious past. This tour will help you discover the various monuments and remains of Ambialet. From the old monastery, at the top of the promontory, you will have a spectacular view of the isthmus.

The Toulouse-Lautrec museum is located in one of the most beautiful corners of Albi: the Berbie Palace. The Palace is one of the Episcopal City’s major sites with World Heritage status. The museum is recognised internationally for the works of this artist from Albi. TOULOUSE-LAUTREC, A UNIQUE COLLECTION IN THE WORLD The world’s most important public collection of the works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, including 31 posters by the lithograph painter, is to be found in Albi. There are also no fewer than 219 paintings, 563 drawings and 183 lithographs displayed in the museum. Early works, major portraits, paintings of brothels, prints from the world of entertainment, advertisements and later works are presented there, giving this museum an exceptional collection. Each stage of the production is represented, highlighting his gift for observation, his talent as a draughtsman and his quality for capturing significant detail. Elle devint ensuite forêt de production pour les mines de charbon et la verrerie de Carmaux. Aujourd'hui réhabilitée, elle est traversée de nombreux sentiers de randonnées et sentiers de découverte au départ de la Maison de la forêt.

This museum is dedicated to the fabulous round-the-world trip of the Albi sailor, Lapérouse. To access this museum, one crosses the Pont Vieux to reach Botany Bay Square. From this terrace you can appreciate one of the finest panoramas of the Episcopal City: the river, the scows on the Tarn, the roofs of Old Alby... Jean-François de Galaup de Lapérouse was a native of Albi, born in 1741 in the Gô Manor House. Louis XVI, France's king at this time, appreciated the human qualities and the seafaring talents of the young naval Captain. He was entrusted with the greatest expedition of Louis XVI's reign, being given 2 ships called the Boussole ("the compass") and the Astrolabe. 225 men, sailors, scientists and artists left Brest in 1785, sailing to Brazil, Chile, California, Alaska, Russia, China, Australia ... and ran aground in Vanikoro (Solomon Islands) in the Pacific in 1788. During this trip, he carried out precise and valuable work on cartography and scientific research.
