This stage of the Way of Saint James offers beautiful green landscapes, between thick forests and agricultural areas. It is quite long and does not cross any big village, so it is better to bring a picnic at the beginning. Finally, it is during this stage that we cross the imperceptible border between Bearn and the Basque Country..

Superb loop around the Gave d'Oloron and its tributary the Joos. The very varied profile crosses hillsides with prominent elevations and large flats to make the big plate speak. The heritage is not in rest also with a monument classified with Unesco and one of the most beautiful village of France.

This stage of Santiago de Compostela goes through forests and pastures. The walker really enters the Basque Country: unlike the Bearn of the previous stages, the houses and farms are scattered over the territory. The stage ends in Ostabat, a famous village because it is the point of convergence of the routes from Le Puy, Tours and Vezelay.

This is an ideal family hike to discover Savoie's heritage. From the Renaissance-style town hall to the heights of the Castera district, the walk offers walkers an enchanting architectural and landscaped setting.

This part of the itinerary of the via Lemoviciensis (way of Vézelay) undertakes a long crossing between Sauveterre-de-Béarn and Ostabat, in Navarre. The historical discoveries are scattered all along the route (Legend bridge, Guinarthe, Pausasac milestone, Saint-Palais), even becoming very frequent at the end of the day (Gibraltar stele, Soyarza chapel, Harambeltz church). Leaving Saint-Blaise Hospital, the Pyrenean Piedmont Trail enters the Basque part of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department, more precisely on the roads and paths of Soule. The second picnic area is on the edge of the Gave d'Oloron. Here you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes, nature and the blue-green water of the Gave d'Oloron to recharge your batteries. The third one is located at the exit of the village near a small brook. Here again, peace and quiet and the surrounding countryside are the order of the day. As for the fourth one, it is located on the D947 (Navarrenx-Orthez road). The choice is there to have a break in all tranquility during your lunches, snacks or dinner.

Once upon a time, there was a castle like no other in the heart of the Béarn des Gaves ... The Château de Laàs is offering, for its 3rd season, a great treasure hunt on the theme of the famous Bearn Musketeers. For almost 3 hours, players are invited to experience a family adventure by joining Athos, Porthos, Aramis and d'Artagnan to try to thwart the plot to prevent the marriage of King Louis XIV. Address, logic, team spirit, agility ... apprentice musketeers must use all their abilities to succeed in the 27 games on this course. Margot's farm is located just 2 kilometers from the center of the fortified city of Navarrenx, labeled Plus Beau Village de France. This guest house renovated in 2015 is located on the way to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, the Puy en Velay route also called GR 65 and receives tourists, pilgrims and hikers.
