This long and very uneven circuit is suitable for the more athletic. It links two listed sites, the priory of Moirax and the fortified church of Aubiac, which are representative of Romanesque art in the Agenais.

Of the Cluniac priory of Moirax, created in 1049 by Guillaume-Arnaud de Moirax, the cloister and the conventual buildings have disappeared. Only the church of Notre-Dame has survived. At the gates of Agen, this short circuit takes very shady paths along the Toumbade and Jorle streams which irrigate the first foothills of the Gascony hillsides. The Garonne valley can be seen from the hillside planted with vines, near the Piques dovecote and the Las Boubées castle. On this route, you may accompany pilgrims on their way to Compostela or walkers on the new Clunisien route linking the sites of this order, Moissac, Saint-Maurin, Layrac and Moirax.

This circuit passes, under and over, the A 62 motorway. The noise of the traffic is annoying only on the northern part of the loop. Otherwise very beautiful landscapes on the valley of the Garonne, close to Agen.

Starting at the Place du Gravier on the banks of the Garonne, this route allows you to discover this two thousand year-old town’s historical sites by following the 19 special signs.

From the fortified church of Aubiac, classified as a historical monument, this circuit goes through the rounded hills of the Gascony hillsides where orchards and cereal crops dominate. In spring, the Papon iris garden will amaze you with its 1500 varieties of iris: the site is one of the most beautiful collections in Europe. The irises bloom in May, so it is the ideal month for a visit. Thanks to its resistance to frost and drought, its many colours and its sweet fragrance, the iris flower has always enchanted gardens. A journey of the senses and through time awaits you on the paths of Aubiac.

This easy route, starting from a historic site of Romanesque art in Agenais, crosses cereal crops, vineyards and woods. Be careful when crossing the road 656.

This demanding route takes in four major sites in the Bruilhois region, with the prospect of numerous viewpoints, running from the Gascony hills to the south to the Garonne valley to the north.

Built on a hillside overlooking the confluence of the Gers and Garonne rivers to the north, this village grew up around a Cluniac priory dating from the 11th century.

Discover the medieval streets before getting lost on the steep hillsides from where you will see the Gers valley, the Garonne plain and perhaps by chance the Pyrenees. This village with a rich heritage was an important medieval town thanks to its inland waterways on the Gers and the Garonne. First door of Gascony, its history was marked by the arrival of illustrious guests. Pope Urban II went there in May 1096 and consecrated the heart of the Church of Saint-Martin, today classified as a Historic Monument. Archbishop Bertrand de Goth, future Pope Clement V, stayed there in the 14th century. Jeanne d'Albret, Queen of Navarre, stopped here on 15 January 1572 on her way to Paris for the wedding of her son, King Henry IV of France; the latter came in his turn on 16 August 1576, at a time when the Layracaise city was a stronghold of Protestantism in Agenais.

On this rugged circuit in the hills of Gascony, you can accompany pilgrims walking to Santiago de Compostela or horsemen following the footsteps of Henri IV in Albret.

In the heart of the village of Aubiac is the Romanesque church of Sainte-Marie, listed as a Historic Monument. Austere in appearance, almost military, this 11th century building is built on the remains of a Merovingian building, some sarcophagi of which have been found. Another object found in the west tower of the church: a wooden pedestal dating from the 15th century, currently on display in the museum of Agen. This religious sculpture represents a widespread artistic theme: the Virgin Mary weeping for Christ on her knees. You will be able to observe frescoes representing the four evangelists on the dome of the church's trefoil chevet.
