The Gorges de l'Auvézère are still one of the wildest areas of the Périgord. The route is one of the more sporting circuits with significant differences in altitude, and it is advisable to be in good physical condition to take the risk of cycling there. This route is a plunge into the Périgord of forests, streams and rivers: you will cross and span the Isle, the Loue, the Auvézère, passing numerous mills, and encounter in the villages modest houses with rough granite walls or others, more imposing, recalling the importance of the Maîtres de Forges.

The village of Saint Raphaël is perched on a ridge at an altitude of 288 metres and overlooks the valleys of the Isle, the Loue and the Auvézère. The site offers a remarkable panorama, allowing to contemplate castles and surrounding hamlets. Founded in the 11th century, Saint-Raphaël is a priory of the royal abbey of Saint-Pierre de Tourtoirac, which was undoubtedly one of the largest monastic buildings in Périgord. The church's pillars are listed as Historic Monuments. The tomb of Saint-Rémy, accompanied by a statuette bearing the effigy of the Saint healer, was for a long time the object of pilgrimages: some people came to implore the protection of the Saint against hail, others came to ask for the healing of their limbs suffering from rheumatism, gout and for greater effectiveness, rub them on the stone of the tomb.

At their small farm in the north of the Périgord Noir, David and Sylvie produce seasonal vegetables, eggs and free-range chickens. The passion is that of the incomparable aroma of the Périgord truffle that one cannot forget when one has "smelled" it, the sight also of a section of the tuber: the perfection of the alternations of the black zones and the white marbling. Aquaparc du Coucou is located in Hautefort, between Périgueux and Brive la Gaillarde in the Dordogne. 3,200 m² of inflatable modules including pyramids, swings, giant slides and cylinders. The park is open to children aged 6 and over. Children aged 6 to 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Aquaparc du Coucou is supervised by state-qualified lifeguards. Supervision is continuous throughout the public opening hours. Safety vests are compulsory and provided before entering the water. Aquaparc can accommodate up to 150 people simultaneously. The Aquaparc is open in June 2022 on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm, and is open 7 days a week from 12pm to 8pm from Friday July 1 to Sunday August 28 2022.
