The village of Masgot is a monument in itself: a string of sculptures runs through the streets. The visit continues, following paths lined with old dry-stone walls.Go into the village of Masgot. Walk alongside the Stone Centre and take the trail that begins at the end of the courtyard.Shortly after the hemp field and just before the watercress plantation, continue straight ahead. At the top, turn left and, at the next three intersections, turn right.Go straight ahead along the gently sloping path. Take a small detour to the right to discover the Tournadoire Stone and its strange legend.At the end of the path, at the cross, take the road to the left and continue along the path that extends it. At the junction, continue left towards Montgermain.At the edge of the village, take the D60 road to the left for 50 m, then the path to the left for 1 km.At the crossroads, in a shrubby area, turn right. Take the D60 road on the left again for 50 m, then the D17 to the right.In the bend, turn left onto a small trail that is not very visible from the road. After leaving a small road to the left, head onto the next path to the left and, 100 m further on, turn right. At the end of the path, follow the bend to the left and continue straight ahead between the houses to reach the D17. Turn to the right and carry on, out of the hamlet. Cross the D16 to continue for 200 m towards Fransèches.Veer left on the hairpin path. Follow the old route of the D16 road on the right until the exit on the bend, and then continue on the right on the uphill path. Take the D53 road on the left, and turn left at the crossroads to go through Le Frais. At the crow's foot, continue to the left until you reach the D16. Walk alongside this road to the right for about 50 m and then turn left to return to Masgot.

In the 19th century, a peasant stonemason carved in granite everything that mattered to him: people, animals, but also his beliefs and dreams. He drew heavily on his immediate surroundings. François Michaud, this solitary man, transformed an ordinary village into a unique place.

Information panels on the 14 places of interest are installed along the route, which crosses the Chézades stream twice. To explore the southern territory of Ahun, between Chamberaud and the village of Masgot with its sculptures.Depart from the front of the town hall in Chamberaud. Go through the town of Chamberaud.As you leave Vezou, take the path on the left. Follow it until you meet another primary path on the right. Take the path all the way to the road. It turns to the left, follow it for about 400 m.Then take the path on the right. It turns left twice and then descends to a track.Turn right and take the second trail on the right. Follow it, ignoring a path on the right, then two on the left and finally two on the right before coming back onto a track. Ignore two paths on the right and one on the left.Take the next path on the left. Follow it as far as the road. Turn left to return to the village of Chamberaud.

A visit to a conservatory orchard of ancient local varieties, founded in 1995 by a group of enthusiastic friends. The town council provides the land and the adventure begins. It consists of three main parts and was built as an extension of the chapel dependent on the castle of the Counts of St Julien. On the west side of the church, one can admire a stone altar built by Abbot Boudard, in front of which is erected a wrought iron fleur-de-lys cross.

The little Gothic edifice, nestled in the village of La Borne, was born of the oath of a Lord of Aubusson, perhaps Charles, who was stuck in the swamp and begged Mary to save him. The 15-hectare Chamberaud pond offers anglers great fishing in a natural environment rich in fascinating flora and fauna. Fishing licence compulsory for children aged 10 and over. The Tranloup valley is classified as a Type I ZNIEFF (Zone naturelle d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique), with a total surface area of 345 hectares. This natural site straddles the administrative boundaries of four communes: Blessac (206.9 hectares), Alleyrat, Ars and Saint-Médard-La-Rochette. The general landscape ambiance is that of a forest environment, with spruce as the dominant species, and a few broadleaved trees scattered throughout. Common beech (Fagus sylvatca) and pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) are the most common hardwood species. Coniferous trees include spruce (Picea abies) and Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii). The Tranloup riparian zone features hydrophilic species such as alder (Alnus glutnosa) and willow (Salix caprea). Our garden is not yet accessible, but two tables and chairs are available outside in front of the house.
