New PDIPR 2026 itineraries: Discover Rions, a charming medieval town on the banks of the Garonne. This itinerary takes you through its ancient streets, to the foot of its citadel and along its ramparts steeped in history, before reaching its rolling hillsides offering beautiful panoramic views over the vineyards and the Garonne valley.

This pretty loop on Le Tourne leads you along the Garonne river and through the vineyards on the hillsides. The view on the medieval castle of Langoiran and the valley below is a must. Departure from the square Alaric Desmond.

This route, which is both fun and educational, allows children accompanied by their families to discover the banks of the Estey river separating the villages of Langoiran and Le Tourne. Admire the natural heritage along the river and maritime through the traditional boat building sites . After the tour you are expected at the Tourist Office for a reward.

Big loop starting from the town hall of Tabanac. You will pass in front of beautiful wine estates as well as in the woods and along the Garonne river where you can admire the "carrelets". Very beautiful points of view on the valley of the Garonne.

The Haut-Benauge appellation owes its name to history: the Viscounty of Benauge, of which the remains of a powerful castle remain in Arbis. This appellation produces powerful, lively and well-balanced sweet white wines, as well as some dry white wines that are similar to those of the Entre-deux-Mers.

Classified as a Historic Monument in 2006, the castle and the park overlooking the Garonne were built in 1917 for the industrialist François Thévenot. The exceptional park, planted with cedars, sequoias, magnolias, etc... is populated with numerous remarkable statues. Bequeathed to the municipality, the Chavat Park is, since 1999, the public garden of the commune The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a pushchair or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), proposed by the French Federation of Rambling of the Gironde.

Perched on a hill in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers, the Abbey of La Sauve Majeure is one of the most spectacular monuments of Bordeaux. It is in 1079 that St. Gerard Corbie founded the Benedictine abbey monks clearing with large primary forest, "Silva Major". On the road to Santiago, she served as the point of departure and regional stage for the pilgrimage. Ranked in 1998 "World Heritage Site", the whole remains today grandiose and very representative of Romanesque art. This tour allows you to discover the abbey and the village of Sauve.

Founded in 1079 by the Duke of Aquitaine and Gérard de Corbie, it shelters, at its peak, some 300 monks. Ruined and abandoned at the end of the 18th century, it was listed as a historic monument in 1840. In December 1998, the abbey was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Road to Santiago de Compostela in France. The route first goes north of the village towards the Lapébie greenway before returning there for a loop to the south.

The family, of Russian origin, owns the estate, whose name is said to derive from the Seigneur de Couteau, who is said to have owned land here. The house, now converted into a gîte, was built in 1850. Its outbuildings date back to the 17th century. Originally planted with 3 ha of vines, the estate now extends over 12 ha. Rurik Nebolsine cultivates them with the help of his wife Vanessa, taking care to respect nature (they use neither insecticides nor weedkillers). 10% of Château Couteau?s production is destined for the private market, and 90% for the cooperative cellar.

Located in the village of Haux, a small village in the heart of the Entre-deux-mers region, an area rich in vineyards, bastides and villages, and only twenty kilometers from Bordeaux, Paulette's house welcomes you for your stay. This location is ideal for discovering the many treasures of the region on foot or by bike. The gîte is housed in an old village house with an adjoining second gîte. Access to the gîte is via a shared courtyard, facing the road that runs through the village. Each gîte has its own outdoor space in the courtyard, with garden furniture and barbecue, perfect for enjoying convivial outdoor moments. Free parking is available on the nearby street. Bed linen, kitchen linen, towels and gas central heating are included in the price.

At the first floor of their XVIIIth century castle, Bastien and Anaïs renovated two rooms mixing modernity and charm of the old. The two rooms have kept their oak wood floor and their ceiling moulding and their nice view on the Garonne river. The "Paris" room has a bathroom with a walk-in shower whereas the "Rio" room has a canopy bed and a bathroom with a tub and a walk-in shower.

100% fun for everyone ! Do you know wakeboard? It looks like snowboarding but in an aquatic way. A fairly easy discipline that allows to have fun very quickly. You can discover this activity through a beautiful site surrounded by vegetation. The academy also offers cablepark or the ski lift courses with 2 instructors, or wakeskate : a different way of skateboarding, but on water and water-skiing. The noble house of the Chaize was probably built in the 16th century, as evidenced by a tower dating from this period. On an L-shaped plan, two buildings each have an old opening. One of them is surmounted by a broken pediment, pierced by an oculus, probably dating from the 17th century. The second opening, a semicircular arch, is surrounded by pilasters with bosses. Near the entrance, there is a coat of arms carved on a block of stone, some details of which resemble the counter-seal of Bernard de Rions.

The old noble house of Petit Maurin, known since the 16th century, has completely disappeared. The house that replaced it is probably not older than the 18th century.

Of Romanesque foundation, the church was originally composed of an unvaulted nave, opening to the south by a Romanesque door. In the 17th century, the door was protected by a porch, closed and fortified. The apse shelters columns of re-employment in marble of the Pyrenees, of which one of the capitals is with antique decoration. The exterior of the apse was largely reworked in 1872, with the modification of the openings and modillions.

The château began life as the hunting lodge of Jean-Louis de Nogaret de la Valette, Duc d'Épernon (born May 1554 in Caumont, died January 1642 in Loches), one of the most powerful French political magnates of his time. This noble house underwent a complete restoration during the 17th century, when the estate belonged to the de Suau family (the château bears their name to this day), still cited in 1687 under Louis XIV. The estate belonged to Clément Gopp de Bordeaux, a wine merchant who was described as Seigneur de Suau in 1750.

This wash house, restored in the 20th century, is composed of two basins and a spillway, covered with a gable roof, in mechanical tiles, and resting on wooden posts.

Only the apse, covered in a cul-de-sac, has survived from the primitive church of the 12th century. The choir dates back to the 14th century. Its vault, in broken barrel, rests on a band decorated with festoons. Mostly destroyed during the Revolution, the building was reopened around 1850 and major works were carried out, including the nave and the aisles, covered with a false vault. The bell tower-porch, topped by a spire, also dates from this period.

Raymond de Laubec, abbot of La Sauve-Majeure, wanting to withdraw from the world, had founded this hermitage. The Romanesque portal, from the end of the 12th century, has kept its archivolt and a capital. The chapel housed a 15th century statue of Saint Catherine, in painted and gilded wood. At the sale of national assets, on December 21, 1793, the chapel was sold for 800 pounds to Mr. Couronneau. Since that date, it has belonged to the private domain.

This church is dedicated to Saint-Hilaire, probably the bishop of Poitiers (315-367). Only the choir and the apse are in roman style. The 5 chevet sections, separated by columns, are pierced with archivolts windows. Theere are characters, animals and greenery. The northern chapel was erected in 1632 or 1644 and was dedicated to Saint-Antoine. Until 1856 there was a graveyard surrounding the church, it has been moved since. The bell tower and the southern aisle are from the 19th century.

The "Zongard" house is composed of a square dwelling, framed by polygonal pavilions, and crowned by an octagonal belvedere. The agricultural parts comprise a central passage, flanked by two-storey pavilions. This residence may be the former castle of La Roque.
