Discover the Pas de la Balme, one of the few crossing points of the eastern border of the Vercors, making it possible to reach the plateau called "Quatre-Montagnes".This Pas was also a high place of the Resistance of the maquis of the Vercors. Departure from Château-Bernard (village) take the direction of Pas de la Balme 8. At La Chapelle 1, climb to the Janas 2 and then join Le Mas 3. Continue to Chénevarie 12 then Le Mas Roux 13 and Le Mas before returning to Château-Bernard.

Travel back in time as you explore the sites shaped by the Resistance around Gresse-en-Vercors. Setting out from Gresse-en-Vercors, go back to the northern entrance to the village to start the trail on the road that climbs up at Serpaton to the hamlet of La Ville. The shelter of Peyrouse (Abri de la Peyrouse) located on the balconies East of the Vercors is an unguarded stone hut, 2 places are planned to sleep there, but you will not find there water nor stove to warm you.

The carette hut is an old sheepfold restored by the Parc du Vercors and transformed into an unguarded refuge. This beautiful hut indicates the entrance to the Natural Reserve of Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors.

The Fauge Shelter is a large, unguarded hut. With a fireplace, it can accommodate 20 people. It is named after the valley of the Fauge.

At the crossroads of several important trails, the Cabin de Pre Peyret is one of the most frequented of the massif. Located at the entrance of the high plateaus at 1600 m, this unguarded stone hut can accommodate 10 people for the night.
