Saint-Pastour stretches along the right bank of the Lot. The village is built on a clay and limestone soil, with a chaotic relief. Founded by Alphonse de Poitiers between 1250 and 1259, the bastide of Saint-Pastour crowns a narrow and elongated "pech", dominating the surrounding countryside. The numerous conflicts that threatened the country in the 14th and 15th centuries prompted the bastide to protect itself by building ramparts and fortified buildings. The protective walls were preserved until the 19th century, and the town still has traces of the ramparts and several defensive buildings, such as the old town gate crowned with a statue of Joan of Arc, an old well near the church and a wooden market hall. It is surrounded by a covered way dominated by the remains of the feudal castle.

The GR® 654 crosses France starting in Vézelay, in Burgundy. It crosses the Lot-et-Garonne from north to south for nearly 150 km, from the plum trees of the Haut-Agenais to the sandy soils of the Landes de Gascogne, passing through the Lot and Garonne valleys.

Hazelnut orchards will be omnipresent on this hike. From the church of Millac, you will perhaps accompany a few pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. You will end your little walk with a magnificent viewpoint from the hill of the old castle.

Hiking and gastronomy go hand in hand on this track where you walk through plum and hazelnut orchards. The plums are made into prunes at the Lamouthe plum drying cooperation, which also produces Kokine sweets, made from hazelnuts. Local ‘charcuterie’ can be found at Jaffrenou (address : Terreblanque).

Nestled in the Tolzac valley, this small village is dominated by three wooded pechs. The two on the Caubel and Darbe Feuille plateau offer a nice positive difference in altitude. The one of Ragot, a vertiginous descent.

From the small village of Pinel, climb the steep hillside of Pech de Pasture. You'll discover a sensitive natural area (ENS) with a wealth of protected flora and fauna, preserved by the Conservatoire d?espaces naturels de Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
