A trail for experienced hikers that will make you discover beautiful panoramas and viewpoints on the Monts d'Ambazac. You will be able to admire the small built heritage: crosses, fountains, mills... A variant of 10.5 km will allow you to enjoy this trail.

This tour for experienced hikers begins by passing the prisoners' cross, a place of remembrance, then continues through undergrowth to join the forest track that leads to the village of Traspont. The slightly technical descent takes you to the pretty, unspoilt village of Noueix. Beforehand, you'll have admired a beautiful Limousin farmhouse. After a dry climb of 2 km, the rocky chaos of the "pierre branlante" (wobbly stone) is the highest point, with a splendid semi-circular view of over 50 km. The return journey is a leisurely one on wide paths through the forest, passing under the impressive jumps of the Singletraks Bike Park, where you're sure to come across downhill mountain bikers.

This circuit will give you the opportunity to combine the past and the present, from the kaolin extraction pits, the origin of Limoges porcelain, to the extreme outdoor activities of our time, mountain biking and paragliding. The majestic trees are the lords of the woods and tell the story of this green setting. Variant of 1h30 and 5,6 km.

The start of the GR4 is tough and requires a warm-up. At km4, you'll come across a surprising high-altitude fountain at 609m. Then a long descent takes you to the Chauverne bridge, back on the right bank. Admire the view (km11) over the Roche Talamy dam! Don't forget to bring your food and drink with you on this tour.

The winding route, with occasional open landscapes, is an invitation to enjoy and surpass yourself, progressively. At the top of the course, at 501m, you'll discover the Lalléger state forest. Take the time to warm up along the beach, as the Thaurion gorges offer some surprising slopes!

Depart from Châtelus beach. Cross the bridge to take the road on the left and immediately take the path that climbs to the right (GR4), turn left 50m left, then right. Go through the village of Monsergue (right then left) to continue towards towards Manerbe. In Manerbe, follow the road to the right to the end of the village then take the forest track which continues to Mastonin. From here, take the small path on the right, at the corner of a house. Follow the Etang des Egaux to the right, then turn left 150m further on on a wood storage area. 300m after the resistance stele turn left to reach the village of Boissieux by road. In the village, take a small road to the left, which becomes a footpath, to the intersection of three roads. Go straight ahead on the path to the right. Follow the GR4 up to the left.

This path will lead you to the discovery of the Gallic goddess Epona whose votive stele you can admire under the porch of the church. You will walk in the forest, along low paths lined with low walls, and discover some typical villages.

The 12th-13th-century Romanesque church comprises a single nave with substructures that may date back to the 11th century. It was fortified during the Wars of Religion (15th-16th). In 1983, the sacristy and the chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary collapsed in the same night and were not rebuilt. Inside is a treasure trove of Limousin silverware, including a statue-reliquary of the true cross depicting a deacon, possibly Saint Etienne de Muret, and the arm-reliquary of Saint Félicien. In 2003, frescoes from the south door to 2/3 of the north wall were discovered, the oldest and best preserved dating from the late 14th and early 15th centuries.

In the heart of the rolling Limousin countryside, the Lac de barrage de Saint-Marc invites you to experience life-size fishing. Fancy a real fishing break under the stars? Situated between Saint Martin Terressus, Le Châtenet en Dognon, Saint Laurent les Églises and Les Billanges, the Saint-Marc reservoir is home to three courses dedicated to night-time carp fishing in an unspoilt Limousin setting near the Dognon bridge. To enjoy the calm waters of the Taurion, set up your biwy on the right bank at Anse de Bussin, on the left bank upstream of Ruisseau de la Gasnerie or on the right bank upstream of the municipal campsite. Night fishing is carried out from the shore in these marked out areas, exclusively using plant baits and with compulsory release. On this 130-hectare lake, renowned for its fine carp populations, anglers also come across pike, zander, perch and catfish. Boat launch, three parking areas and easy access.

The town hall has set up four tables for visitors on the esplanade of its multi-sports field.

It was built by the Société des Forces Motrices in 1930, some ten metres upstream of the old stone structure. In July 1944, maquisards blew up one of the arches to prevent the retreat of German troops heading for Normandy. In August, when the militia fled, the German military police lowered the level of the dam to allow them to cross over the submerged bridge. The current 65 m-long bridge is a Bow string bridge. It has been awarded the "Heritage of the 20th Century" label.

Listed church with 16th-century paintings on the north and south walls and vault. The paintings on the walls represent the apostles, while the vault features God and angel musicians. Work carried out in 2005 uncovered further frescoes, including a painting of a leopard lion and a white dog, two escutcheons of the French family, a torture wheel of St. Catherine and several figures of saints.

After obtaining a state diploma as a phytotherapy and aromatherapy consultant, she decided to become a producer of aromatic and medicinal plants. She produces a wide range of herbal teas for medicinal purposes, with blends of plants grown on her own land or gathered from the wild. She sells her products in local grocery stores at Le P'tits Bio in Ambazac, Café Baboum in Sauvagnac, La Lanterne in Saint-Goussaud and Le Ptit Mag in Ambazac. She organizes introductory courses in permaculture, discovery of edible and medicinal wild plants, and creation of customized infusions. Reservations can be made via the Wecandoo platform.
