A small, personal campsite on the edge of the Normandie Maine National Park, a site with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside and the village of Couterne. Situated on the main road between Lassay-les-Chateaux (Petites Cités de Caractère) and the spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne, on the border between the departments of Mayenne (Pays de la Loire) and Orne (Normandy). A warm welcome awaits explorers in caravans, motorhomes and tents, whether travelling with a motorised vehicle or on their own. Our pitches are spacious and bordered by hedges. They are ideal for families or couples to feel at home. We have two accommodation units available for hire. Our large and spacious mobile home is available for a minimum of 3 nights. Our smaller mobile home is available by the night and is ideal for couples, families with young children and walkers/cyclists. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON SITE. The site is open from April to September.

Le Coudray is in an old farmhouse 300 m from the village of La Pallu, near the forest, 9 km from Pré-en-Pail, 30 km from Alençon, 12 km from La Ferté-Macé, 9 km from Couterne and 14 km from Bagnoles de l'Orne, a spa town. Thérèse, who loves the countryside, welcomes you to her haven of peace. You will be staying in a bedroom on the first floor of the house. Private bathroom with shower, WC, vanity unit and hairdryer. Indoor or outdoor breakfast, table and chairs in front of the house or at the back in a wooded park. There are a number of restaurants, the nearest of which is 4 km away (Couptrain). Thérèse, who knows the area inside out, will be delighted to give you information and advice on your visits and, if you wish, to accompany you on short walks in the surrounding area. La chambre d'hôtes du Coudray is 4.3 km from the Véloscénie, on the Alençon / Bagnoles-de-l'Orne via Carrouges stage, exit before St-Patrice du Désert (lieu-dit "le Plessis") then take the D241.

Between Bagnoles de l'Orne, a renowned spa town, and Lassay-les-Châteaux, a small town full of character, the Champs étoilés gîte is exceptional for the warm atmosphere it creates thanks to a subtle combination of wood and stone, and new and renovated furniture. The bedding is comfortable and there are two bathrooms, one with a whirlpool bath. The stay includes beds made, bathroom and kitchen linen, heating and cleaning. From JUNE 2025: a wellness area will be available with, on level 0, a heated, semi-underground swimming pool measuring 4m x 3m, a sauna and a spa, shower and wc. A fitness area will be located on the mezzanine floor. In the valleys of hautes Mayenne the landscape is undulating, offering beautiful views. Local shops in Couterne, 3km (bakery, butcher, mini-market). Bagnoles de l'Orne (9km): spa, swimming pool, tree-lined course, restaurants, all shops and services. La Ferté-Macé (14km): leisure centre with water sports and swimming in season. Lassay-les-Châteaux (9km): visits to the château, numerous events and exhibitions, painters in the street, art galleries, market and shops. Swimming pool in summer. Numerous signposted walks. Les Bruyères offers a comfortable setting with spacious rooms and a sheltered courtyard with barbecue and garden furniture. On the ground floor, you enter through the living room (28m²) with its wood-burning stove, a large TV with DTT and two sofas. The 25m² kitchen has a large fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, microwave, 2 induction hobs and 2 gas hobs. The shower room has a walk-in shower, washbasin, storage space and hairdryer. Separate WC. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms. The 1st (34m²) has a 180*200 king-size bed, bath and WC, privacy screen and plenty of storage space. A 2nd green bedroom (18m²) with a 140*190 bed, chest of drawers and sofa bed. The last bedroom (8m²) with its four-poster bed has a 140*190 bed. In Neuilly-le-Vendin, you'll find a café-bar-restaurant with a bread counter and a hairdresser. More shops in Pré-en-Pail (12km) and La Ferté-Macé (15km). You are 13km from the spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne and in the Normandie-Maine Regional Nature Park. You'll love the hiking trails and the nearby Véloscénie cycle route linking Paris to Mont Saint Michel. If you fancy a spot of fishing, there are plenty of opportunities in the village, with lakes and trout in the river.

The church is dependent on the former Diocese of Bayeux. The herring-bone details on the gable prove that this part of the church is of Romanesque style. This long building with a simple nave is surmounted with a belfry with a polygonal spire. A small semi-circular window can be seen in the south wall.

Built in the 15th century, the only vestige of the period still intact is the church’s belfry porch. Rearranged in the second half of the 19th century, under the impetus of Abbot Beaudron, the Clécy priest at the time, its massive and robust appearance is further accentuated by the austerity of the stone (schist and sandstone) used to build it. Over and above the belfry, a few other features are quite remarkable: the carved 18th century sundial on the façade of the south chapel and the lateral chapels adorned with Flamboyant Gothic windows.

In Normandy, 25 minutes south of Caen, we made a crazy bet. To open a restaurant, a creperie, in the heart of Normandy Switzerland in a small village of about sixty inhabitants, called La Pommeraye. And so we renovated the old stables to make it a meeting place for gourmets and gourmands, with a retro bistro atmosphere... "la route des crêpes" (the pancake road). Reservation recommended. Loving to share and receive, we have also created a gîte and charming guest rooms located a few steps from the creperie.

In April 2019, we created an association (Loi 1901, non-profit) to run an organic and local produce grocery café in Suisse-Normande. We want to develop our organic grocery café around 3 major axes: ? Cooperative: every consumer in the broadest sense can be a consom?actor (including producers) ? Participative: each cooperator (consumer or producer) can get involved and commit to the project ? Solidarity-based: each producer is remunerated at fair value, and prices are fairer for consumers, thanks to the absence of intermediaries. Animals accepted.

Sleep in an unusual accommodation at Camping des Rochers des Parcs. The cyclo-tent is a half-wood/half-tile tent structure on a floor with 2 single beds (also available in a single model) and with electricity (European plugs). The advantage for cyclists is that bikes can be stored in the back of the hut in a bike box. A must for travelling light on the Vélofrancette.
