The Centre Culturel des Fosses d'Enfer in Saint-Rémy-sur-Orne, formerly the Musée de la Mine, now houses a library and a contemporary art exhibition room.

Stretching over 375 hectares, the Valcongrain national forest is located on the Aunay-sur-Odon/Thury Harcourt road. Deciduous forest: oak, beech; and coniferous: Scots pine. Unaccompanied walking routes (Suisse Normande tour, GR 221a, mountain biking route, motorised vehicles prohibited).

The River Orne runs alongside the abrupt crags, dominated by a rock referred to as the Pain de Sucre (literally sugar bread), at the extremity of the La Houle rocks with which it forms the "Route des Crêtes" (the Crest Route).

The Suisse Normande Route takes you on a journey through rugged and steep landscapes as you meander your way along the winding banks of the Orne. From Saint-Omer, a number of breathtaking viewpoints offer you panoramic views from the ‘Pain de Sucre’ and the ‘Rochers des Parcs’ that comprise the Crest Route. These steep rocks, known as the 'sugar bread', cover a 171 metre height difference through heaths, woodland, acidophilic grassland and meadows.

The Grimbosq Forest (covering 475 hectares) is the property of the town of Caen and is located 19km to the south of the town and 7km from Thury Harcourt. Several attractions on site: marked walking routes, picnic area, pond, animal park, arboretums with forest species and special collections, "Olivet" feudal mound (alongside the GR36, archaeological site) and mountain biking route.

André Hardy, an artist who tried his hand at many things and always with pleasure, invites you to what was once his home to admire the great diversity of his work. Come and discover Suisse Normande over a collection of more than 100 paintings and other exceptionally colourful works by the Impressionist painter. Opening hours: ask at the tourist office.

This emblematic Suisse Normande site is well known for its rocky escarpments and can be visited from below, along the banks of the Orne, or from above, along the pathway that overlooks the cliff. It is a particularly popular site among climbing enthusiasts. The wealth and the originality of its natural environment (heath, dry grassland, wooded hills...) render the site a remarkable natural area.

The Saint Clair Monument was built in homage to the shots of Saint-Clair. This monument, in the heart of the Suisse Normande, symbolizes the most resistance in Normandy,. This is the story of a resistance group led by Jean Renaud-Dandicolle, originally from Bordeaux. Trained in England, his mission was to unite groups of Resistance fighters in Lower Normandy and prepare them to take action against the enemy. They were at the heart of the battle that started June 6, 1944.
