Leaving from the Navailles-Angos town hall, you can reach the Lac du Balaing on this peaceful route. Discovering the lake after such a long effort is a wonderful reward. Sit back, look out and observe the lights on the lake and the rich lake fauna. But don't forget to retrace your steps back to Navailles. Then the Pyrenees will appear above the treetops. On the way back, you'll discover a landscape so different that you'll forget you took the same route as before.

Departing from the town hall, this varied itinerary is steeped in history. First you'll see the Château de Navailles, whose keep was one of the defensive elements of the Viscounty of Béarn. Further on, you'll pass along the Chemin Chrestiaa, the Chemin des Cagots, whose history remains largely mysterious to this day. Finally, on the whole of the outward journey, you'll be following a very old path linking Navailles to Saint Armou, which has just been reopened for the sole pleasure of hikers.
