The Vauclaire loop allows you to discover a place steeped in history. Mainly located in woodland, it's a very pleasant walk, but beware of some fairly technical sections! It offers lovely views of the Chartreuse.

A 10 km walk along the footpath easement (pedestrian only) from Marcillac to Vauclaire: 4 departures are possible: Marcillac, Ménestérol, Chandos, Vauclaire. This easement, which follows the old towpath from the days when gabares sailed on the Isle, allows you to immerse yourself in a protected natural environment. The path runs alongside the river, lined with tall trees whose branches create a soft shade, perfect for escaping the heat of the sun. The gentle murmur of the Isle, barely disturbed by grey herons or kingfishers, soothes the spirit and invites relaxation.

Shared roads and bicycle paths allow to reach the country of Gurson. The castle of Gurson, of which only vestiges remain, used to watch over the surrounding villages, and has for some years now dominated a lake that has been converted into a departmental leisure center.
