Formerly on the hill of Kirchberg, the inhabitants of Thal-Drulingen and Berg had a common origin. A first group separated from the community from the thirteenth century to settle at the foot of the mountain and formed the village of Thal (or "valley" in Germanic). It was not until the sixteenth century that the rest of the community left the hill to recreate another village of Berg ("mountain" in Germanic), along the Muhlbach, thus lower than its neighbor, Thal .

As its name indicates, this easy circuit snakes through three narrow valleys in the Moselle Vosges: the Brunnenthal valley, the Zorn valley, with the canal running along the bottom, and the wild Stutzbach valley, known for its rocky outcrops.

Museum Gaspar is housed in the residence of the middle-class family Gaspar from Arlon who had set up in this house (1893) that was built in 1842. It was renovated in 2004. The two most famous members of this family are animal sculptor Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931) and Charles Gaspar (1971-1950) who was a photographer and a sponsor. He gave his house to the town of Arlon on the condition they make a museum of it, dedicated to his brother's work and that put into honour the history and the heritage of Arlon. At the first floor, theree are two restored salons identical to a middle-class salon from the early 20th century that show Jean-Marie Gaspar's sculptures. and the art and picture collection of Charles Gaspar. The rest of the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of the museum that alternates artv and history. A religion room shows collections about the abbey of Orval and to the people's devotion at the 18th century, and also relics from the ancient Saint-Martin church. But the Masterpiece is the famous altarpiece Retable de Fisenne - a 16th century masterpiece from the Antwerp school. It was bought in 1893 by a middle-class family from Arlon, the family Gaspar. Jean Gaspar (1861-1931) was a sculptor. He was trained by the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambeaux. His works are in bronze and in plaster and they are exhibited in the salons that have been restorated as they were in his house. His brother Charles (1871-1950) was a photographer, a collector and a sponsor. He gave this house to the town of Arlon. It hosts the library of the Archaeological Institute of the Belgian Province of Luxembourg and its secretary office since 1954. A wide part of the museum is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions about art and history of Arlon.

Rich in the Gallo-Roman past of Arlon, the museum houses an impressive collection that bears witness to the daily life of this period.One of the peculiarities of the museum is its imposing and rich lapidary collection, composed of several dozen fragments of ancient funerary monuments.These blocks and the objects from Roman craftsmanship will teach you more about daily life at that time.

Fief of the Vaudémont family and of the sultry Henriette de Lorraine, known as "Princess Henriette". This small town was founded by the Count Palatine George Gustav. It was once a Principality of the Empire where coins were minted in his effigy. Lixheim has a rich architectural heritage from this period, including The monumental fountain dating from 1627, the mint, the church of Saint Anthony. As well as numerous houses with beautiful oriels on the facade, typical of Eastern European architecture.

The Maison des Rochers is located in the hamlet of Graufthal in the Eschbourg commune of the department of Bas-Rhin. These three semi-troglodyte rock houses were restored and refurbished with furniture and mementos of the past in 1958 when the last inhabitant died.

The museum of Phalsbourg presents an important collection of costumes, firearms and knives which date back from the First Empire to World War II. A room is dedicated to the 19th century popular novelists Erckmann and Chatrian. Finally, costumes and everyday objects give an account of the inhabitants' lifestyle and traditions.

The organ in the Church has a long and rich past. Indeed, after it was built in 1841 by the organ maker Martin Wetzel, it was improved by House Dalstein-Haerpfer de Boulay and finally finished in 1898 by Bartholomei-Blesi in Château-Salins. During the 20th Century, many have tried to change or improve the instrument but none of their works were effective and they damaged the instrument. Thankfully, between 1993 and 1994, it was restaured by the organ maker Rémy Mahler from Pfaffenhoffen. Open on request only.

The castle, the cradle of Phalsbourg, was the seat of Count Palatine George Jean, founder of the town from 1568. The exterior restoration (staircase and tower) dates from George Jean. The ground floor (now the cellar), where the year 1568 is engraved, also remains from this period. The stone keystone, removed around 1890, showed the coat of arms of George John. At that time the castle extended as far as the Place d'Armes. Vauban included the building in his plan and enclosed it in one of the bastions. The building can now be accessed via the first floor. The castle is a stage on the discovery tour. Free visit of the exterior.

On top of the village, you may see a pilgrimage chapel called "Chapelle des Furoncles" (Boil's Chapel): it was named after Saint Sebastien. Broomsticks were given as presents to Saint Sebastien who would cure boils. The Chapel was blessed June 22nd 1769. The bell was given by the Touche family in 1806.

The Chapel of Saint Agatha has a choir and frescoes from the 13th century. The chapel was consecrated on 26 June 1035 by the bishop of Metz, Thierry II of Luxembourg. The church was originally dedicated to St. Voldaricus, the name of which is in modern form Ulrich. Saint Agatha is the patron saint of wet nurses. During restoration work undertaken in 1977, the chapel of Grand'Eich dedicated to Saint Agatha of Réding, revealed, under the plaster of its vault, the presence of frescoes dating from the 13th century. There were four frescoes, one of which had unfortunately been demolished, depicting the symbols of the Four Gospels: the eagle of St John, the ox of St Luke, the lion of St Mark and the angel of St Matthew. The representation of winged animals shows the very ancient influence of Mesopotamia or Egypt. Restored in 1978, they represent one of the oldest series of frescoes in the entire Moselle department, the construction of the chapel dating back to 1035. Almost nothing remains of the 1035 construction.

The Chapel was renovated several times but the current building was erected in 1847. Many legends started to emerge once the chapel was named "Chapelle du Loup" (Wolf's Chapel). However, the most common explanation is that a forest existed until 1820 where wolves used to live. The Chapel was last renovated in 1981 thanks to volunteers. On August 15th, an outdoor Mass is celebrated. The chapel is open for all on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Free entrance. Parking lot on the Chapel's side.

In Petit Eich is the Chapel dedicated to St. Therese of the Child Jesus, built in 1852 by Louis Meyer. It was first placed under the patronage of St. Louis and then in 1952 under the patronage of St. Therese. Masses were celebrated until 1988. Since 1990, it has housed the Reding Museum, containing religious material, and is open on European Heritage Days and on request.
