This loop first takes in circuit n°7 (Les Bois de Sainte-Feyre) and then circuit n°6 (Le Puy de Gaudy). Of the 27 km that make up this trail, only the very first few kilometers are really relaxing... Indeed, after the village of Peyrabout, the circuit becomes a rollercoaster, taking you through beech and fir forests, as well as more open spaces in the Guérande countryside. The trails are varied: tracks, sunken lanes, streams, with the total percentage of road not exceeding 9%. In many places, the view over the east of the Creuse department, and even beyond, is unobstructed. This is certainly a good opportunity to catch your breath. At the end of a fourth steep climb, you'll find your vehicle near the "Loups de Chabrières".

Upon reservation, Marc and Patricia will be happy to serve you their table d'hôtes and prepare a packed lunch for you. Everything is homemade with local produce. The church of Sainte Feyre, built in the 13th century, was fortified in the 14th and modified over the following two centuries. It features a western bell tower, a single nave with side chapels and a flat chevet. It houses a fine stone group: 'Sainte Anne trinitaire', depicting the filiation of the Virgin Mary and Christ with Sainte Anne. The church also contains the tombs of the Lords of Sainte Feyre, La Valette and Les Châtres.

The original stream originates below the Parc Animalier des Monts de Guéret. The aqueduct, the part modified by man, begins its journey with two stones that divert the water from the stream. The canal runs alongside the road between Le Mas and Sainte-Feyre. It continues on to the Château meadow, where it feeds a fishery from which two irrigation ditches branch off. This watering fertilized the field, which became a hay meadow. This ingenious system for distributing water and supplying villages with water by gravity was practiced in Gallo-Roman times, but there is no written trace of this work. The aqueduct is very well preserved.

The GAEC de Frédefont offers Limousin beef and sheepmeat in 10kg packages for sale at the farm by appointment.

In the middle of the forest of Chabrières and close to the Parc Animalier des Monts de Guéret, the Parc Aventure de Chabrières offers several acrobatic courses in the trees, for young and old! On the way to the wolves' den, dive into the heart of the forest and move from tree to tree in the Parc Aventure de Chabrières! Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult on the course. You must wear a mask during the briefing and when putting on and taking off your harness.

At the end of a lane, nestled amongst the undergrowth stands a palissade. Behind it you enter into the den of the Wolves of Chabrières. An unspoilt, wild nature where time has stood still. More than 45 grey, white and black wolves - Wild fauna Miniature farm, museum space, film ‘Lobo, loup de Chabrières’ filmed in the Park over 4 seasons, guided visits.

Visit the Puy de Gaudy (alt.651m): Inhabited since prehistoric times, it bears traces of human presence until the Middle Ages. Men took advantage of its natural strategic position, off-center from the rest of the massif. Very early on, they used it as a defensive site.

On the 'couderc' (community space, symbolic center of the village), a 19th-century ensemble comprises a masonry fountain set against a low wall, a diamond-shaped paved wash house with fourteen rectangular washing stones, and a fishery.

This village fountain dates back to 1869, according to a nearby cartouche. The spring is protected by granite blocks. It fed water troughs uncovered during restoration work.

This former horse stall has now been converted to accommodate up to 8 people.
