Her Art Deco portal, in wrought iron, rises up without ostentation, surrounded by oak trees, in the elegant nakedness of her life, like the familiar vigil of a memory to be shared, and opens up to give free rein to the exchanges between reality and imagination, the visible and the invisible, the here and the elsewhere. It is adorned with stainless steel chime tubes, arranged in a sound and intriguing balance. The slightest breath of wind animates it and carries it away in a musical phrase, unpredictable, enchanted and therefore legendary, which has the fragility of a dream and the primitive simplicity of an emotion.

Commensacq's popular media library is open to all, young and old. It offers free borrowing and consultation of all kinds of media: novels, children's books, documentaries, etc. In particular, it has a collection of works on the heritage of the Landes region, and organizes occasional workshops for children and teenagers, meetings with authors and exhibitions, with the aim of enriching everyone's culture in a convivial way.

Commensacq's Romanesque church, largely rebuilt in the 15th century, was fortified in the following century during the Wars of Religion. The 17th century saw the construction of the Sainte-Quitterie chapel, which was converted into a porch in the 19th century. The present neo-Gothic bell tower dates from 1866. Two carved friezes were reassembled and adapted around the nave's western pillar in the early 19th century. Carved at the end of the 15th century, they depict secular scenes, probably illustrating the five senses. In the choir, a magnificent high altar by the Mazetti brothers from Avignon was added in 1781.

Programmation : Laurent Le Deunff Stéphanie Cherpin chose to use an old wagon from the railway line that linked the Sabres station to Labouheyre, which she now proposes to us abandoned in the middle of the vegetation If this wagon has lost its function forever, it keeps in memory the imprint of a strong human activity. It imposes itself with all its potential as the object, the scale and the main material of a fossilized sculpture, colonized by an artificial cave. It is not a question of erecting a monument or magnifying a ruin, but of reviving a living sign that marks this union between the natural environment and technical productions, and will inevitably remain visible despite a gradual but irrepressible return to a wild state.
