This circuit first crosses a vineyard, then passes along a lake before going into the forest of Verdus on winding and stony paths. The village of Masquières, close to the department of Lot, occupies a large part of this forest. In the valleys of Lartel and Las Gonies, archaeological discoveries testify to the prehistoric occupation of the place. Nearby, dug into a hill, the cobbler's cave sheltered Neolithic burials. In the forest are the remains of a covered alley called the "Tomb of the Giants" (prehistoric megalith). The church of Saint-Vincent, built in 1240, is the former chapel of a priory attached to the abbey of Moissac

The paths, often lined with dry stone walls, guide this easy hike, benefiting from the shade of the oak trees of the Verdus forest.

This hike crosses the plains of Toulouse, Vidalot or Galaux. Don't think that the relief is absent. These "plains" are in fact plateaus surrounding the narrow valley of the Boudouyssou where the small village of Courbiac nestles.

This very easy walk starts from the car park of the winery, crosses vineyards and enters the soothing shadows of the Verdus forest.

When you enter the department by the D 656, you only see it. A wide and high bastide which presents its clear front perched on a pech. You climb up to it by a small road which, below the ramparts, winds up the hillside. You pass through the gate and discover the orderly streets, the Place des Cornières, the belfry and its moon clock, then the stairs that leave the town, the water tower, the former house of the Bishops of Agen, the municipal garden. There, an orientation table guides you through the green landscape of the Boudouyssou valley. On the other side, the gaze soars from the Verdus forest towards the Quercy Blanc where the cool shade of the trees alternates with dry and burning limestone plateaus.

Between Agenais and Quercy. This little town located in the Causse passes on over the seasons the nature where you'll live peacefully. Thézac offers great views over the little valleys. A favorite stop on the road to St Jacques de Compostela. Lauzerte country house high in the Quercy Blanc 39 km northwest of Montauban, Tarn-et-Garonne, the house of Lauzerte overlooks a landscape of southern colors, ranks among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France" and is a necessary stop on the road to St Jacques de Compostela. Originally, Hill was a Gallic oppidum Lauzerte. Its present name dates from around the year one thousand. From the Latin "lucerna" lamp, it means a great position visible from afar like a light. At the end of the twelfth century, the Count of Toulouse received the hill donation to build an Castelnau, protected by a castle town. The foundation of a strategic and economic interest, was an immediate success. Two hundred building lots were distributed to settlers, attracted by the freedoms granted. Lauzerte around 1200, stretched along a single street in the north, while a path skirted the plateau south. Once upon a time, in the beginning of last century, a little land in the Causse, which produced a quality wine, the Thézac-Perricard. Its aroma as subtle as spiced, charmed some of the greatest men: Napoléon the 3rd, Armand Fallières (a former President of the Republic) or the Czar Nicolas the 2nd, who loved it so much that he gave it his name. Today, some great food critics still think this wine is "pleasant and appealing". The wine-grower produces it and sells it, red or rosé.
