Explore nature's gems at Camping La Pinatelle!

Very varied course, open to all, located in the heart of the national forest that covers the Tracastel mountain. From the church square of Saint-Auban, join the beacon 1 in the heart of the village. 1- Continue on the left, continue climbing stairs, rue Tracastel. Take the path (PR) which climbs in laces. Continue 200 m after climbing the break to the next intersection (beacon 2) 2- Turn off on your left as indicated to continue on the Tracastel circuit until a crossroads 1.5 km further.. 3- Take the path below and continue 2.7 km slightly downhill to find the Departmental Road numbered 2211. 4- Engage on the road and continue along the clue of Saint-Auban until finding the beacon 6. 5- Approach the path on the right that goes back to the heart of the village.

Departing from the former Mairie in Montblanc, this loop takes in the upper Chalvagne valley and the Pic de Chamatte in the distance. A forest atmosphere is present throughout the hike. From the hamlet of Montblanc, follow the asphalt road east downhill for 1.3 km. Shortly after a wooden cross, at a small house and a small bridge, come to a crossroads. At Les Cognas, leave the road and turn right to cross the bridge over the Chalvagne and climb upwards through the pine forest. The path rises through the forest, comes out on a ridge which it follows for a while and passes over a collet. Once past this point, take the path on the left at the edge of the slope, gain a croup, then enter the wood after a bend to the left. The path then climbs steadily up to a track near the Col du Buis. At the Col du Buis, take the uphill track to the right, cross a fence and continue on the other side to the end of the track, 2.5 km further on. Continue straight ahead on a path that descends to a crossroads at the level of a ruin. At Serre Mallet, go right down to the bottom of the ravine, cross it, climb the other side, cross a ridge and go down to another ravine. Cross it to skirt a meadow and emerge on a tarmac road. Follow it to the right as you descend to the starting point.

A longer variant of the Chapelle Saint-Pierre itinerary, it also takes in the hamlets of La Sagne, in the Alpes Maritimes, and Les Colettes. The latter, still inhabited, is only accessible on foot.

Itinerary to discover a wild site where the Saint-Pierre chapel is hidden. The ruins of Véraillon are the remains of an ancient fortified village abandoned in the 15th century. From the parking lot in the village center, walk up rue des Bayles and turn right onto rue St Roch for around 100 m. At the mission cross, turn right onto the GR®4, then cross a bridge and a field. At the first bend, follow a gullied path up a hill. Continue flat between meadows and Scots pine woods and join a path coming from the right. Go straight on, over a small pass and down the path to the Verraillon ruins. In the meadow below the ruin, turn right and follow the stream. Go left over the clue and then down into the oak grove. At the path junction, go straight ahead, cross the rocky bar and descend to Chapelle St Pierre. Below the chapel, turn right towards Soleihas and follow the canal. 20 m before the waterfall, turn right onto the steep, rocky path over the clue. Ford the Verraillon ravine a little further up and follow a forest path. At the end of the descent, continue straight ahead at the crossroads and join a track a little further up. Continue straight ahead to return to Soleilhas.

On the trail of the Tour of Défens des Colettes, you will reach old plasterwork remains of a craft no longer practised, near the travertin waterfalls. When exiting the car park, turn right and at the end of the street, take another right and follow the main street Saint Roch on the D102 for some hundred metres. 1 - Before the mission cross, turn right on the variant of the GR 4 (chemin de la sagne) then cross a bridge and a field. At the first corner, take the GR and follow the track to switch to the other side. Continue on the path between meadows and woods of Scots pines and continue rising amid the broom on the opposite slope. Continue until an intersection. 2 - Take a right on the GR.. Further down, descend on the trail of the ruins of Veraillon. 3 - Under the ruins, turn right, in the meadow and along the creek. Go left, over the canyon (area wedged between two mountains). Go down through the pubescent oak (900m). 4 - At the intersection of two paths, continue straight and follow the path through the rocks, then head to the St. Peter Chapel. 5 - From the St. Peter chapel, follow the direction of Soleilhas (under the chapel). 20m before the waterfall, turn right onto the rocky and steep path rising above the canyon. Pass the ford at 100m and reach to Soleilhas. At 2.5km, reach the trail. 6 - Turn right in front of the oratory and reach the village by the track.

After a short descent to the Notre Dame de la Rivière chapel, the climb is a little steep, but pleasant and shady. At the Col St Jean (1326m), enjoy the magnificent panorama before reaching the chapel of St Jean du Désert.

A hike that combines superb views of the surrounding mountains with the discovery of Ubraye and Le Touyet, with their beautiful stone houses set on slopes, and the Palud plateau. Descend the climb from St Martin to the marker indicating Le Touyet (white-red markings). Follow a small rocky path that gradually rises through a forest of pines and oaks. After about 400m, the path joins the road. Follow it for 50m, then at a cairn, pick up the path which then rises steeply, passing a pretty metal cross. Admire the view of the Picogu summit on the left, and the Touyet hamlet on the right. The path passes under the houses and comes out onto the road again. Follow the road, cross the bridge and continue to the small houses of Touyet Haut. Take the asphalt track which rises to the right, until you see a road sign (prohibited for vehicles over 3.5 tons), then the dirt track to the left. It descends into the Bernarde ravine. A small ford allows you to cross the stream. Head uphill to reach the pretty Palud plateau at 1250m altitude. Follow the yellow signposts towards Ubraye until you reach the signpost indicating Serre d'Embelet, at 1230m altitude. Return to the GR4 (red and white markings) and descend towards Ubraye. The trail passes through a beautiful forest of boxwood, pine and a few broadleaf trees. There are occasional small limestone steps, and it offers a lovely view of the Charita summit and the village of Ubraye. Cross back over the Bernarde stream before heading up a dirt track beneath the village houses.

Another itinerary takes you to Chapelle Saint Jean du Désert. Right from the start, you can discover the Château de Villevieille, then follow a ridge line to admire the panoramic view over the Ubraye valley and the Bernarde summit.

This walk takes you up into the hills, through former farmland, to the abandoned hamlet of Ville, overlooking the Jabron valley and the village of La Rivière.

Walk to the abandoned hamlet of Ville overlooking the Jabron valley and the village of Peyroules From the car park, follow the D452 towards la Foux on 300m. 1- At the village's exit (junction with D452 road of Mousteiret), go up the paved road to the left (rue du Collet). Pass a shed and take the path going left. Bypassing the valley, go up the hill passing through the pines and oaks. Further down, cross the small stream of Ste-Anne, and reach a wider path 100m further. Take this path for 500m and reach the junction with the itinerary of the Col des Portes. 2- Follow to the left the path to the Peyroules round-trip until the farmof the Pré Neuf. Follow the trail that bypasses the home. Quickly reach old cultivated areas. Follow the main road and go down towards the imposing Romanesque chapel and the abandoned hamlet of Ville. 3- After the chapel, at 200m, it's possible to follow the trail to the hilltop hamlet of Ville and to see the panorama of the valley. Otherwise, go down the path towards the southeast. Pass a small mountain pass. Go along the trail along the valley, cross the ravine of Ville and go down the hillside to the reach the road. Return to the starting point by the B-road; for about 800 m.

Charming hotel in a former oil mill nestled in a large wooded park 10 minutes from the village.

This square bell tower church has a flamboyant gothic style portal. It was restored in its time by the association Montagn'Arts. You can particularly admire Cross path, the work of Jean Brandy, a painter who lived part of his life in Saint-Auban. "Only a major cause (death) will prevent me from painting."

The Tracastel door and the remains of a tower are what remains of ancient fortifications protecting a castle now disappeared. Clinging to a rocky bar, overlooking the village, it is the ultimate testimony of the medieval past of Saint-Auban. It was restored in 2007.

This clue represents a cut between two mountains, it is the paradise of the canyonists who rub shoulders with these limestone cliffs and cold water pots of the Esteron. During refreshing "supervised" descents, the practitioners combine the fun and the pleasure of discovery.

During the first ascent and leaning against the Tracastel bar, you will see the roofs of this particular village. In the Middle Ages, it is said that Saint-Auban is called "Puget de Mallemort". It seems that at the time, people sentenced to death were pushed from these cliffs...

It is one of the most visited sites of the Préalpes d'Azur Regional Natural Park. It is an exceptional geological formation, with striking views of the Esteron. The place has an ear, referring to a large balsam on the Esteron. It served as a habitat, and excavations revealed fragments of ceramics from the late Bronze Age.

It is the king, "the emperor" of the south-facing limestone slopes. There can be up to 17 flowers per stem (and it can measure more than a metre in height). It is very different from the Turk's cap lily, by its colour and its leaves. It is found only in dry rocky hillsides of the Alpes de Haute Provence, the Var and the Alpes-Maritimes.

On the tour, you will find the ruins of the abandoned hamlet of Verraillon.

This fountain is located in a station of Saint-Pierre pilgrimage and thus allowed pilgrims to drink fresh water. It was moved, hence its recent appearance, and now benefits from a new catchment basin.
