From the Abbey of Saint-Maurin, in the Escorneboeuf valley, to the Ferrussac mill located on the Séoune river, this circuit crosses orchards and crosses "the border" of Tarn-et-Garonne. During the walk, stop at the museum of rural life and trades of the past of Saint-Maurin, where you will discover the daily life of the village in the 1900s. According to a Moissagais manuscript, Maurin, born in Agen, came back to the country after studying in Italy to convert the people of Agen to Christianity. The pagan governor of Lectoure had him imprisoned, but Maurin escaped with the soldiers guarding him. All those who escaped were recaptured and beheaded in Anglars, where the village was established. According to the legend, Maurin carried his head near a fountain where the Christians of Anglars buried his body.

This easy route has only one real hill before reaching the church of Saint-Pierre-del-Pech. The route continues along a shaded path and then on an open plateau, allowing you to discover the surrounding hillsides and some farms with stone dovecotes.

This very sportive circuit will allow you to discover a rich natural heritage where the variety of landscapes and and superb viewpoints follow one another all along the route.

From the church of Saint-Julien, go and see the Château de Combebonnet, the church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens in Engayrac and the Lake of Gandaille. An orientation table, a game of goose, a medieval garden, will enhance this nice little walk.

This small easy circuit, nevertheless includes some steep climbs, with shaded passages and some wide openings on the surrounding hillsides.

Located in the middle of nature, in a hilly and wooded landscape, the village of Tayrac is a haven of peace. The village is mainly known for being the place where the "Venus of Tayrac" was discovered. A headless statue was indeed discovered and identified as a Venus and then, 40 years later, exceptionally, her head was found. The whole is now kept in the Fine Arts Museum of Agen. Tayrac has a parish church listed as a Historic Monument that you can admire and this walk will also allow you to discover the chapel of Cambot as well as beautiful stone houses, a menhir and many pigeon lofts which mark out this itinerary traced in the hills of the country of Serres, between the valleys of Gandaille and Séoune.

After the castle of Combebonnet, this circuit passes upstream of the lake of Gandaille, crosses a large plateau where cereals and market gardening are very present and ends on the steep paths which surround the tourist lake of Beauville.

On the way out, the route uses roads and panoramic paths overlooking the Garonne valley. The return journey takes place on the old Roman road at the foot of the hillside, out of the water of the Garonne River.

This short but physical circuit offers many views of the hillsides of the Pays de Serres, the Garonne valley and the undulating hillsides of Gascony on the horizon. The chapel of Aureillac deserves attention, even if it can only be seen from the outside.

Montjoi is a 13th century, walled town, perched on a hilltop overlooking the Seoune valley. You can take a tour of the town, along the sentries’ walkway, using the orientation table to identify landmarks, then wander around the small streets and admire the magnificent half-timbered houses. Vallon de Gasques' Sensitive Natural Area extends over 17.5 ha with very diverse habitats (stream, wetlands, ponds, woods, meadows, cliffs) and several elements of heritage interest (fountains, wash houses, drystone low walls...). A 2 km path which will take you through the Vallon de Gasques. You will be able to discover: - the fauna and flora of old orchards: little owl, hawfinch, Eurasian golden oriole, bats... and also many species of orchids; - a wet meadow associated with a megaphorbia, with its rare and luxuriant biodiversity; - a set of ponds of different sizes and types; - an alder marsh on a wet meadow along the Barbe stream; - a semi-natural dry lawn; - a hilly landscape with cliffs and springs; - a washhouse, perfect habitat for salamanders.

The construction of the abbey of Saint Maurin dates from the end of the 11th century, following its affiliation to the abbey of Moissac and the Benedictine order. This large monastic complex swarmed with numerous churches and priories in the surrounding area, as many possessions that showed its influence and importance within a radius of 20 kilometres. Ruined then restored several times during the Hundred Years' War and during the Wars of Religion, it was during the Revolution that the buildings were sold in lots. Today, one can still admire the choir of the former abbey church as well as two chapels, the cloister, the monastery buildings, the abbey castle and its gardens.

Fruit growers for 4 generations, the farm of Eloi, Anne, Vincent, Côme and Elodie, is a 14th century fortified mill, located in the heart of the South-West. They produce apple juice, Agen prunes in different forms, dried tomatoes, blueberries, kiwis and several varieties of apples. The farm is certified HVE (High Environmental Value). Welcome to the land of Brassagou where the owners grow a mixture of old wheat in organic conversion. From these wheats, they make a stone-ground flour which they then transform into bread, brioche, biscuits...

The Goudourville Castle was built on a rocky outcrop. It is an authentic 11th century castle, embellished during the Renaissance and remodeled in the 18th century. You enter through a large Guard Room, with an adjoining lounge. The large enclosed gardens around the castle welcome you for lunches in front of a wonderful view. It is possible to organize all kinds of events there: family vacations, birthdays, country weddings, medieval weddings with costumes, shows, banquets, etc.

Located in the heart of the IGP appellation "vin de l'agenais", the name Tulipe Rouge is a reminder that Agen has a protected red tulip. Currently, the vineyard covers 4 hectares. It is concentrated on the southern slopes of the farm on plots that were planted with vines before or shortly after phylloxera.
