Misson is a small village that stretches over 14.7 kilometres. It is situated at an altitude of 90 metres and has about 800 inhabitants. It is crossed by the stream of Leplace, the stream of Grand Arrigan and the stream of Yats. Misson is twinned with the town of Arnac in the Cantal. In 1641, Misson belonged to the royal provostry of Dax, which bought from Louis XII certain domain rights. Fifty years ago, Misson was home to renowned clog makers and gem makers. Today these trades have disappeared but they reappear in some craft exhibitions. Nowadays, the identity of the village reflects a long history.

The house offers 3 bedrooms (Romance 13m² - bed 160; Rivage 14m² - bed 160; Riviera 10m² - bed 160 separable into 2 beds 80; these last 2 form a family suite) and a 4th in a chalet annex (Le Saleya - 13m² - bed 160 - private terrace). All are equipped with private bathroom and toilet, and TV. On site, you'll enjoy the swimming pool, spa, 3500m² park, billiard room, library, bowling green, ping-pong table... In the evening, in season, you can dine (local cuisine) on the terrace, and the rest of the year, in the living room with its large fireplace.

Direction Clermont en Chalosse, in the south of the Landes, where Véronique and Pascal await you in their 18th century farm. You are in the middle of corn and sunflower fields, without any opposite. The gîte is next to their property. They also have a guest house (4 rooms for 8 persons). Many activities around : geocaching course with the free application Tèrra Aventura, corn maze, walking or biking trails (renting possible), discovery course in Montfort and Mugron, the Museum of Chalosse, animations relayed by the Tourist Office, etc. The gite offers a covered terrace without opposite and the parental room also has its own terrace! On the spot, you will enjoy the swimming pool, a sauna, a spa, the park of 2 200m², a billiard room, a bowling alley, a ping-pong table, a table soccer...

And I, Michèle, a retired farmer, have opened a family room to welcome you in an old Chalosse farmhouse with lots of character and authenticity. I promise you a warm and simple welcome, and if you book my table d'hôtes, I'll treat you to a meal of local produce in front of the big fireplace on autumn or winter evenings, or under the pleasant covered terrace in spring or summer. This fountain with medicinal properties is along the Route de Mimbaste. Extremely old, the Bidas spring comes from Triassic period land, i.e. dating from the earliest geological period of the Mesozoic era. The water is salty, warm (20°C/68°F) and contains iron. It was subject to intensive production. In the 17th century, the Count of Luppé filled a bottle from the spring and gave it to the Sun King (King Louis XIV) who was captivated by this water’s medicinal virtues. In 1906 an attempt to make use of the spring, authorised by the French Academy of Medicine, was implemented. The water was even bottled in order to sell it. Nevertheless, the business was a failure. It’s now a scenic walk for the numerous hikers who follow the sunken path leading there.
