The Aquitaine Bridge was built in 1967 at 53 metres above the Garonne River. It is the third bridge built after the stone bridge and the Saint-Jean bridge.

Château Mirefleurs is located in the commune of Yvrac, about fifteen kilometers from the city of Bordeaux. The 40 hectares of vineyards of the estate are planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, located in the communes of Yvrac and Saint-Loubès. We find very different soils, formed from the bed of the Dordogne. This diversity is made at the level of the river basins of this one and the sedimentary deposits which took place at various geological times. On the commune of Saint-Loubès, we find gravelly soils, with a strong presence of surface pebbles. The texture of these soils is quite clayey. On Mirefleurs, we find soils with clayey-sandy textures and silts. These differences in soil structure give the grapes their own typicity and therefore very different characters.

The Château Lafitte estate is over a hundred years old. In 1973, René Floréal Laguens bought the estate and chose to relocate a 37-hectare vineyard there. Since 2003, his daughter Danielle Hennequin, her husband and children have taken the destiny of the estate into their own hands. Once past the monumental gate of the property, one is seduced by the long road whose laces merge into the vines and the palm tree avenue that leads to the beautiful blond stone façade.
