A monumental fountain in Mérignac, the Fontaine d'Arlac has a natural and constant spring. Built at the end of the 18th century, this fountain could be the work of Peixotto, the owner of the Maison Carrée d'Arlac, or of the Jurade de Bordeaux. It may have served as a large reservoir for the water destined for Bordeaux.

The architectural boldness and imagination have presided over the birth of this space located in the heart of the third largest city the Aquitaine area, Mérignac near Bordeaux. Dating from the 12th century, this Romanesque church is the oldest civil and religious monument in Mérignac. Several times damaged and restored, it is now used as an exhibition hall.
