The Port Cailhau, thirty-five metres tall, was integrated into the city walls. In 1864, it was rented by a public letter writer and a person whose job was to weigh salt. They were both evicted in order to renovate the monument. There is a magnificent view of the oldest bridge in Bordeaux, the Pont de Pierre, from here. An exhibition displays the tools and materials used for construction purposes at the time the Porte Cailhau was built and an audio-visual presentation pieced together from old films immerses us in the world of stone masonry.

Located in a communal park of 8.5 ha crossed by a river, the relais jacquaire de Cayac, on the road to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, is composed of a church of the thirteenth century, registered in the supplementary inventory of the M.H. and a priory whose buildings have become places of cultural life. The “Ecomusée de la Vigne et du Vin” presents an exhibition of vine and wine tools used between 1850 and 1950. Discovery of the wine heritage of Gradignane. In one of the last "winegrower’s houses", typical of Bordeaux, this museum exhibits a collection of 400 tools from the 18th and 19th centuries gathered by passionate collectors. With its 60 ha, of which 30 are wooded, the Thouars woods are home to a varied flora and fauna. A botanical trail allows you to discover these environments through a 4 km marked trail. The wood is now listed as a Classified Woodland and a natural area of national interest. It is located in the natural domain of the Atlantic Oak grove of plain and hill, where the pedunculated Oak grove dominates. Several species are rare or protected: the Tauzin Oak, the Bird's Nest Neottie and the Marsh Hottonie for the plants and the Fishing Seaman, the Pipistrelle and the Plum Pique for the animals. The Thouars Wood is also a refuge area for common wildlife.

He associated horses with the history of the estate by rehabilitating the old stables. Today, Château de Rouillac is one of the jewels in the crown of the Pessac-Léognan appellation.
