South of Richard's lighthouse, the small port of Goulée welcomes a few pleasure boats. Towards the end of the 18th century, the new cultivation of vines favoured the expansion of this small port, whose activity was then divided between fishing and river transport. This last activity decreased around 1870, as the railway replaced river transport. The port still has its small fishermen's huts and has more pleasure boats than fishing boats. The Balades à Roulettes® (BR®) are short, quiet walks, with a pushchair or a small bicycle, or adapted for people with reduced mobility (in a wheelchair), proposed by the Fédération Française de Randonnée de la Gironde.

This vineyard was rebuild in 1960 on a gravelly islet. The Château Haut-Gravat stretches over 10 hectares on Jau-Dignac-Loirac, a nice small town. Our two main principles are the following : respect of traditions and nature. Besides, in order to respect our precious environment we don’t use chemical fertizers. Our wines are round and soft and have a very good ageing potential. Don’t hesistate in visiting us, we will be delighted to explain you particularities of our wines.

The pond and the old wash-house

Between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary, in the heart of the village of Jau-Dignac-et-Loirac, the main building is an 18th-century house that has been completely renovated.

It all began in the 17th century with the work carried out by the Flemish to drain the marshes. Dykes and channels were cleared, sending rainwater from the land towards the estuary. This work enabled the village to develop, with the transport of goods such as linseed oil, wool, paper, draperies and flour. Flour was the product of more than twenty mills, some of which can still be seen in the commune.

We propose a varied cuisine with our dishes in the image of the sign, the inevitable duo pizza / salad very appreciated and for the rest I let you discover.

This restaurant is unique in the Médoc Unique also by its different atmospheres, from the large animated room to the elegant terrace or the cosy VIP room. Without forgetting the numerous theme evenings with various artists or just a DJ to make you dance until the end of the night... Also think of the restaurant Gaillanaï for birthdays, weddings, group meals up to 120 people.

Virginie and Sandra met each other during a bottling at the Château Saikouk. Since then they have worked in different fields until recently when MyMEDOC was born !
