Leaving from the Plateau de la Verrerie in Saint-Nicolas-des-Biefs or from the Loge des Gardes, this itinerary plunges you into the vast Assise state forest and takes you through the magnificent and atypical landscapes of the Verrerie. Don't forget to make a short stop at the tourière, home to Droseras, rare carnivorous plants!

Leaving from the plateau de la Verrerie in Saint-Nicolas-des-Biefs or from the Loge des Gardes, this itinerary will take you into the vast Assise state forest, but will also take you through the magnificent and atypical Verrerie heather fields. For the lucky ones, the Alps can be seen on a clear day from the Roc du Vacher orientation table. Don't forget to stop for a short break at the peat bog, home to Droseras, rare carnivorous plants!

This walk along the paths of the Assise state forest takes you on a discovery of the natural and cultural heritage of the surrounding area. On the trail, you can enjoy the calm and beauty of the undergrowth. This walk takes you to the Pierres du Jour (1164m), a place steeped in history and, if oral tradition is to be believed, an ancient pagan cult site.

Trail no. 10 (10.2km), awarded the Uni'Vert Trail label by the French Athletics Federation, starts from La Loge des Gardes. This trail for beginners takes you to the heights of Loge des Gardes and the mysterious Pierres du Jour, the highest point of the Monts de la Madeleine at 1164 meters.

Uni'Vert Trail 12 (13.1km) from La Loge des Gardes, awarded the Uni'Vert Trail label by the French Athletics Federation. Starting from the Loge des Gardes, this route takes you into the Assise state forest. Your run takes you through this fir wood, a conifer typical of the heights of the Montagne Bourbonnaise, replacing the beech trees below.

Leaving from the Plateau de la Verrerie, this is a lovely route suitable for beginners, with many beautiful viewpoints. Departing from the plateau de la Verrerie and its heather fields, this trail, which is totally suitable for beginners, takes you to the peat bog where rare carnivorous plants, the Droseras, grow!
