This tour is a great opportunity for a day of "bike travel" with the family. The majority of the route is on bicycle paths and the absence of altitude difference makes the effort moderate. However, the distance is long and you will have to manage your effort to reach Bayonne in the best conditions. The lunch stop in the village of Urt will be a nod to gastronomy and the snack break on the banks of the Adour will be an ode to contemplation. The unavoidable detour into the narrow streets of "Petit Bayonne" can be considered at the beginning or end of the tour in order to admire the vestiges of the past and enjoy the lively shops. A small option of 1 additional km offers the possibility of discovering the natural reserve of the barthes and its ornithological observatory. On both banks of the Adour, young and old alike will find something to do on this bike tour along the river.

At the end, a cycle track awaits you and takes you through the peaceful district of Chiberta, its lake, its Basque or architect's houses in the shade of the pines and its two golf courses, ideally situated between ocean and forest. On the way back, you will once again pass along the Pignada forest, a wooded area that offers a shaded and cool area, ideal for walks and the practice of numerous sporting activities.

Direction Anglet for a bike ride on equipped roads. We leave to the discovery of the forest of Pignada, place of walk and oxygenation privileged of the Angloys. The circuit reveals the privileged passages towards the lake of Chiberta and directs you between the coquettish villas, of Moorish, art-deco or neo-basque style. It also follows the golf courses and offers options for detours to the ocean beaches. Pine forest, labyrinth of villas and proximity to fine sandy beaches, the atmosphere is multiple.

Anglet's beaches stretch for 4.5 km from north to south and are bordered by a pathway known as the Promenade Littorale (Victor Mendiboure Promenade), enabling walkers and sports enthusiasts to link the lively La Barre and Chambre d'Amour districts on foot. All along the promenade, there are freely accessible playgrounds, relaxation areas and leisure facilities for all the family. There's a skatepark, a basketball court, beach volleyball courts, children's play areas and sports equipment. From the promenade, you can also see the Izadia park, the Atlanthal thalassotherapy centre and the famous links course at Golf de Chiberta.

The commune of Mouguerre sees its territory divided into two parts on either side of the A64: to the north, the main town, to the south, the district of Elizaberry which sits on a peaceful hill. Numerous residences are spread out along the ridge and life is organised around the playgrounds (trinquet and wall on the left), the schools and the bar-restaurant. The Elizaberri walk (in Basque) starts with wide paths on the ridge, often panoramic, sometimes on Mount Ursuia which tries to grow taller over the forests, sometimes on isolated houses or the town of Mouguerre and its powerful bell tower. After observing the passerines fluttering in the hedges or picking blackberries, it continues along a more intimate path in a cool valley, where the passage through a beautiful oak grove covered with ferns will delight young and old.

From the top of the cliff, perched on the ‘Love Tower’, on a clear day, looking north, you can see not only the Anglet coastline, but also the vastness of the Landes beaches. Cap Saint-Martin, dominated by the lighthouse built in 1832, marks the boundary between Anglet and Biarritz. At the foot of the cliff, don't forget to stop off in front of the famous Grotte de la Chambre d'Amour and discover the beautiful legend that has made the reputation of our town. Sainte Marie Cathedral is Gothic in style, built on the site of a Romanesque cathedral that was destroyed by fire in 1258. It was built in stages between the mid-13th and 16th centuries.
