Between fields and woods, you'll come to Archigny, land of the Acadians. Discover the Acadian church at "Cenan", then follow the Acadian Line, a network of 58 farms built at the instigation of the Marquis de Pérusse des Cars. After a small wood and fields, you come to the village of Bellefonds, continue towards La Chapelle-Moulière and wind your way along the road surrounded by pretty houses to Bonneuil-Matours, where Maurice Fombeure, French writer and poet, is said to have spent his childhood.

Whether you're a couple, a family or a group of friends, set off for 17 km or half that (round trip), 1 to 2 hours aboard an unusual machine that travels along the old railroad line, once used to transport the beautiful stones from the quarries of the Chauvigny region. You'll pedal through rolling bocage, discovering the region's heritage with the help of a roadmap, and cross bridges, footbridges and viaducts, including one offering an impressive view of the castles and collegiate church of Saint-Pierre de Chauvigny. In July and August, opt for the Crépusculaires, at sunset, or the Dîner du Viaduc, for a meal in an exceptional setting above the Vienne river.

From spring and autumn stopovers to longer stays in winter, the Saint-Cyr lake has always attracted birds. To enhance the site's appeal by welcoming more species over longer periods, the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) has created a 40-hectare ornithological reserve. This wetland offers a diverse range of flora and fauna all year round. Trails, observatories and information panels are available for all publics to discover. A landscape of land and water, this atypical site is a fine example of cohabitation between man and bird!

Choose freshwater fishing at Lac de Saint-Cyr, in the Parc de Saint-Cyr, between Poitiers and Châtellerault. With a day pass, you can set up to 3 rods in one of the 3 authorized zones (zone 3 by reservation, for associations or groups) to catch some fine specimens. Fishing at the lake is no-kill: the fish are returned to the water. You don't need a French Federation fishing card. Bait fishing is not permitted, in accordance with the June 2023 decree. Occasional float-tube fishing days are organized throughout the year. Take advantage of an exceptional setting to indulge your passion for fishing! Many other sports and leisure activities are available around the lake.
