This hike crosses the plains of Toulouse, Vidalot or Galaux. Don't think that the relief is absent. These "plains" are in fact plateaus surrounding the narrow valley of the Boudouyssou where the small village of Courbiac nestles.

This small easy circuit, nevertheless includes some steep climbs, with shaded passages and some wide openings on the surrounding hillsides.

This circuit first crosses a vineyard, then passes along a lake before going into the forest of Verdus on winding and stony paths. The village of Masquières, close to the department of Lot, occupies a large part of this forest. In the valleys of Lartel and Las Gonies, archaeological discoveries testify to the prehistoric occupation of the place. Nearby, dug into a hill, the cobbler's cave sheltered Neolithic burials. In the forest are the remains of a covered alley called the "Tomb of the Giants" (prehistoric megalith). The church of Saint-Vincent, built in 1240, is the former chapel of a priory attached to the abbey of Moissac

Breaking with the curvaceous Art Nouveau style that flourished at the end of the 19th century, Art Deco was a style that aimed to be modern and functional, and sought to be industrially applicable. The route takes you through vineyards and orchards, steep climbs and descents and a gentle return along the banks of the canal, taking you into the heart of the Moissagais countryside. Along the way, you'll enjoy a remarkable panorama of the confluence of the Tarn and Garonne rivers.

When you enter the department by the D 656, you only see it! A large and high bastide perched on a pech. You climb up to it by a small road which, below the ramparts, winds up the hillside. You pass through the gate and discover the orderly streets, the Place des Cornières, the belfry dating from 1637 and its moon clock made in 1843, then the stairs that leave the town, the water tower, etc... From the foot of this stronghold, you will reach the picturesque village of Bourlens, former residence of the bishops of Agen, through woods, vineyards and orchards, via the pech de Padès. After a long descent along shady paths lined with vineyards, you will reach the Dor valley. You will then walk due south, to go up gradually on the hillside of Castang. At a bend in the path, the northern ramparts of the bastide appear.

This hike will make you discover the southern side of the bastide. On the way back, you will walk through the round tower, the public garden, the streets with half-timbered houses, the town hall square...

Créé en 1154, il devient prieuré collégial en 1317 et est aujourd'hui le dernier prieuré grandmontain construit en "briques anglaises". De l'église, seule la nef subsiste car l'abside a été détruite en 1918. Une partie est classée par les Monuments Historiques.

Mentionnée au XIVème siècle, elle a été complètement détruite pendant les guerres de religion puis pauvrement reconstruite. Le plan présente la forme d'un rectangle allongé, terminé par un abside à trois pans. Son clocher avec sa tour octogonale est inscrit à l'inventaire des Monuments Historiques.

La première mention écrite de la chapelle remonte au XIème siècle. L'édifice actuel date de 1877 et a été répertorié aux Monuments Historiques en 1992. De style roman, avec une inspiration du néo-grec et du byzantin, la chapelle est constituée d'une nef carrée, surmontée d'une coupole qui se dresse sur un tambour. Elle est ouverte à la visite en juillet et août le dimanche de 15h à 18h30, et toute l'année sur rendez-vous au 05 63 65 46 71.
