This very easy urban trail is a great way to discover some of the most emblematic sites and monuments in Dieppe’s old town: the marina, Saint-Jacques Church, the jetty, the seafront, the town centre and the imposing château perched atop the cliff. This walking tour is a pleasant way to spend one hour learning about the history of Dieppe, from fortified town to seaside resort. This first route within Dieppe can be supplemented by Trail No. 2.

This walk through Dieppe includes a visit to the Pollet District, one of Dieppe’s most authentic areas, traditionally known as the “fishing district”. The trail then continues along the cliff, following the coastal trail to the charming beach in Puys. This walking trail supplements the tour of Dieppe offered by Trail No. 1. The route is however is a little more difficult.

A special place, assembling a collection of objects associated with the famous French composer in the house where he was born: Claude Debussy's birthplace is located in the historic quarter of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. It was in this 17-century house in the town that Claude Debussy was born, on 22 August 1862, and spent his early childhood. His father ran a china shop on the ground floor. After the composer's death in 1918, it soon became the main gathering place of his many admirers. Once inside, you will discover a wonderful little inner courtyard, where a splendid wooden staircase will lead you up to the museum. Part of the garden can be used to park the cars to to provide easy access. The ground floor comprises: - a kitchen equipped with dishwasher, electric cooker with ceramic hobs, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, and toaster; - dining room with two adjustable tables that can seat up to 20 guests; - a sitting room; - 2 bathrooms, each with shower and wash basin; - a separate toilet; - a bedroom with bunk beds (double bed at the bottom and single bed on top for someone under 80 kg) and a single bed. The upper floor comprises: - three bedrooms with bunk beds (double bed at the bottom and single bed on top for someone under 80 kg) and a single bed. - 1 separate toilet with hand basin. Services: Depending on the number of guests and their relations, you will indiciate the number of beds used when booking. The beds will be made when you arrive. Optional: It is possible to provide 1 or 2 canopy tents in order to make the most of the outdoor, extend the party area and protect against bad weather. They are set up and taken down by me. However, I may decide not to set them up in case strong wind is forecast during the period, including one day before your arrival to set it up and one day after your departure to take it down. In this case I will let you know as soon as possible and of course I will give you back the amount of the service that had not been provided.
