Come and stay in this fishing gîte, which sleeps 7 people, located at the foot of the hiking and horse-riding trails in Haute Mayenne. The 4,500m² private fishing pond is just 50 metres from the gîte. It is ideal for leisure fishing, and is home to carp, pike, roach and perch. The pond varies in depth from 0.50m to 2.5m. You'll find carp up to 7kg, pike from 30 to 70cm and roach up to 20cm. Fishing is no-kill. If you don't fish, you can enjoy the park's shady spots under the oak and albizia trees. There is also a boules pitch, table tennis and table football for your leisure activities. The house's terrace faces south, offering a magical view of the park and fishing pond. Nearby, you'll find the Sillé-le-Guillaume leisure centre (7 km), ideal for swimming, as well as Sainte-Suzanne, a small town full of character (22 km), Saint-Léonard-des-Bois (21 km), a village in the heart of the Alpes Mancelles nature reserve, where numerous outdoor activities await you, and Jublains (28 km), a Gallo-Roman town with its museum. All shops and services are 7 km away. You can also find bread baked in a wood-fired bakery in Saint-Pierre-sur-Orthe, 3.4 km away.

Alençon Museum of Fine Arts and Lace occupies a prestigious setting within the Cour Carrée de la Dentelle, the town's former Jesuit school. The major attraction of the collections is the outstanding presentation of needlepoint, especially the prestigious "Point d'Alençon". The technique for making this lace has been on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list since 2010. The regular overflowing of the river Sarthe miraculously spared this area from the development undergone by its surroundings; the Fuie des Vignes is a wild natural area located between two districts in Alençon. The birthplace of Saint Thérèse - the house of her sainted parents Louis and Zélie - is open to visitors, giving an authentic look at how life was in those times. The guided tour follows the lives of the Martin family - Saints Louis and Zélie, Saint Thérèse de Lisieux and her sisters - through 5 locations around Alençon: the hall, with its historic gallery, the exhibition of personal items, the auditorium, the house and the chapel. A film based on family correspondence shows us family life in Alençon where she lived between 1871 and 1877. The setting recreates the atmosphere and youth of the young saint. The chapel celebrates Sainte Thérèse in sculpture and frescoes and opens into the room where Thérèse was born. It was also here that Saint Zélie drew her final breath. The "Les Gateys" National Necropolis is dedicated to the soldiers of the French 2nd Armoured Division (2e D.B.), who died in the fighting to liberate the Orne area. The division, commanded by General Philippe Leclerc de Hautecloque, landed on 1 August 1944 at Saint-Martin-de-Varreville in Utah sector. Its involvement in the fight to liberate French territory was highly symbolic. It took part in the fierce fighting that led to the encirclement of German troops in the Falaise Pocket. The division went on to play a role in the liberation of Paris. This military cemetery - now a National Necropolis - holds the remains of 19 soldiers. The coexistence of Latin crosses with stele bearing the crescent of Islam and the Star of David is testimony to the spirit of union and comradeship of the 2nd Armoured Division.
