4km signposted trail - duration: approx. 2h00. Educational trail with 13 explanatory panels on the water cycle, the ecosystem, trees and water, fishing, the Gunsbach mill, etc... . Departure from the Fecht bridge, towards the campsite - arrival at Gunsbach town hall.

The 920m-long trail, in the heart of the village of Gunsbach, is a path lined with 16 paintings in search of Albert Schweitzer and his thoughts. It starts at the former presbytery and climbs to the Albert Schweitzer monument, sculpted by Fritz Behn in 1969 (a pupil of Rodin). The tour ends at Albert Schweitzer's house (8, Route de Munster). Duration: 1 hour.

This new day takes place between Labaroche and Orbey, two villages anchored in the mountains. Their natural surroundings offer many unsuspected sights. First, we head for the Grand and Petit Hohnack peaks. On the former, you'll see many unusual stones, and if you're curious, you might even find the stones known locally as "fairy vats" or Hexenkessel. The second takes you back to the Middle Ages with its 12th-century medieval castle. Not only will it tell you all about its history, it will also offer you a marvellous viewpoint. Then it's on to Orbey. Countryside, rivers and forests follow one another. Prepare to be amazed when you reach the last spot of the day: the Faudé tower. Like all maritime destinations, we have our lighthouse. An emblematic figure of the destination, this tower will give you a bird's-eye view of your new progress and the distance separating you from the lakes, your next exploration. A route that's sure to enchant you!

This figure-of-eight tour is ideal for all levels of ability and is ideal for children. The first step is to discover the summit of the Grand Hohnack in a pine forest. At the top, there is a field of rocks, each more mysterious than the next. We challenge you to find the so-called "fairy vats", recognisable by the cavities in the rock. Then return to your starting point. This tour is a good idea as it gives you the choice of continuing the hike or postponing the rest of the route to another time. For the second stage, go to the 12th century. The route takes you to the Hohnack castle, which is now maintained by volunteers. At an altitude of 927m, the remains allow you to enjoy a 360° view. Please note that the entrance to the castle is not always accessible. Go in the direction of Munster Valley via Turckheim and Zimmerbach. Rounded peaks, mountain meadows, steep mountainsides and lakes formed in the last Ice Age make up the varied landscape of Munster Valley, which is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Vosges Mountains. Munster Valley also offers special rambling sites dotted with friendly farmhouse inns along the way.

Starting from Ribeauvillé, the stronghold of the Ribeaupierre family and protected by its three fortified castles, meander leisurely along the balconies of the Alsatian vineyards from Hunhawihr to Turckheim, passing through a number of choice wine-growing locations such as the welcoming towns of Riquewihr and Kaysersberg. The tour then takes in the green and open Munster valley. At the Maison du fromage in Gunsbach, you can discover the secrets behind the making of this famous cheese, before enjoying a tasting session. After passing through the pleasant center of Munster, the route climbs upwards, winding its way from Hohrod to the Collet du Linge. A historic pause at the Musée mémorial du Linge is an interesting option before tackling the Grand Hohnack. The grandiose scenery continues towards Labaroche and Orbey, where you join the Weiss valley as far as Hachimette. You then take the small mountain road to Fréland and begin your final ascent to the Col of the same name. You'll then reach Aubure, the highest village in Alsace at 800 m altitude, before returning to Ribeauvillé, the starting point of the tour.

This path links the car-park of the Three Castles to the car-park of the Hohlandsbourg. This path is easy, pleasant and without different of level. The path is marked with the squirrel print.

Starting in Munster, this is an athletic but not overly demanding route. A gentle slope at the start, following the cycle path to Turckheim, a pleasant wine-growing village... The first climb to Les Trois Epis takes in Niedermorchwihr and its church with its magnificent twisted bell tower. Then Labaroche and Orbey for the ascent to the Col du Calvaire. A 10km climb with some double-digit gradients... A route with magnificent panoramic views. The return journey takes in the Route des Crêtes, the jewel in the crown of the Vosges Massif, before reaching Munster via the Col de la Schlucht, with its rocky cliffs and uninterrupted views of the Ballons des Vosges.

Departing from Lausanne, head to the medieval town of Gruyères, home to the famous Swiss cheese!  Leave Lausanne by bus and climb up into the alpine pastures to reach Gruyères.  After a tour around the town, your guide will take you to a Swiss chocolate factory to show you how famous Swiss chocolate is made.  Then head to an old alpine cheese factory. Enjoy a Swiss cheese tasting and learn more about the national dish: fondue.  Learn to make your own Swiss fondue and try the traditional dish.  After your meal, relax and climb on board the Golden Express, a panoramic train which crosses the alpine pastures and the heights of Lake Geneva. Enjoy incredible views of the lake and the Alps. When you get off the train, get back on your bus and head to Lavaux and its terraced vineyards. Located on the great ridge of the Vosges, between the Calvaire and Schlucht passes, this Nature Reserve ensures, on 505 ha, the protection of remarkable high moors and peat bogs as well as their setting of mountain forests. It shelters a remarkable but sensitive and threatened fauna and flora. Also, the impact of the human frequentation is particularly supervised. A discovery trail allows you to discover the different facets of the Nature Reserve. Every summer, a guide from the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels de Lorraine also welcomes the public on the grounds of the Nature Reserve.

Tricky Track is a state-of-the-art 4-season rail sled! The 1.1 kilometre track offers 700 metres of descent with a negative difference in height of 78 metres, a 450-degree spin, a tunnel, passages over the ski and bike slopes... It can reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h with an average gradient of 11% and a maximum gradient of 35%. Thrills guaranteed! Accessible to children aged 3 and over accompanied by an adult. Children up to 8 years old and under 1.25 m tall accompanied by an adult. Not suitable for pregnant women. Last-minute information, such as weather conditions preventing the activity from taking place, will be communicated on the Tricky-Track facebook page.

The Rudlin waterfall is located a little over 100 m above the valley floor. The water flows from the top of a 10 m high rock into a basin that it has dug for itself, to leap from rock to rock down the slope. If you go up the narrow and steep path that runs along the stream, you will find the upper waterfall about a hundred meters higher. The stream divides into two branches where the water, in its rapid course, sometimes widening like a silver sheet, sometimes narrowing to fall in a single mass, forms a non-interrupted series of small waterfalls.

Chapel with contemporary lines with its pyramidal shape and its glazed gable. It dominates, since 1960, the Shclucht pass. It has been awarded the label "Remarkable Contemporary Architecture". The chapel, by its great sobriety, calls for contemplation. Every summer, it hosts masses as well as a cultural program.

On the second floor of the new public reception area LE TÉTRAS 1139 (to be refurbished in 2021), is the Espace De Découvertes - SCHLUCHT 1139. This space offers an interactive and playful visit on the history of the pass and its landscapes, as well as on the High Vosges and its natural and cultural heritage. An invitation to rediscover this emblematic site of the Vosges Massif.

Built in 1904, it used to host the tramway coming from Gérardmer. Another line coming from Munster will be built until the border post and inaugurated in 1907. Very frequented by tourists, these tramways will not survive the two world wars. Today, the old station houses the French Ski School and the Vosges Departmental Fire and Rescue Service.

A major site linking the Vosges to Alsace, the highest pass in the Vosges mountains culminating at an altitude of 1139m. Starting point for hikes (GR5, Sentier des Roches...), crossing point of the famous Route des Crêtes which links the Col du Bonhomme to the Grand Ballon.

(It is still possible to set up on the pitches outside opening hours). If you would like to taste our wines, please come to the cellar during opening hours and if possible no later than 1 hour before closing time. Dogs are allowed on the pitches but must be kept on a lead and, of course, please ask if it is possible to enter the cellar with dogs as we ourselves have a Newfoundland dog on site who walks freely in the cellar.
