Description
This short cross-border circular trail is perfectly suited for an adventurous family trip. Magnificent views on the castle ruins Loewenstein, Hohenbourg and Wegelnburg reward you for the initially hard ascent to the top of the Kappelstein rock. The trail follows the border and descends on the German side to the exhibition mine Eisenerzgrube Nothweiller open from April to October: guided tours every hour from 11:00 to 17:00 from wednesday to sunday (www.nothweiler.de).
