Description
Kokoitxe Handia is the longest mountain bike circuit starting from Chéraute, Mauléon?s immediate neighbor. Nearly 40 km to cover the long spine of the Kokoitxe hill and the Chéraute woods, before venturing further into the communes of Roquiague and Gotein-Libarrenx. Here, you can take a complete tour of the Lausset valley, via the hills of Arhantsiga and Xardeka, offering remarkable views over Soule, and linking the protohistoric sites of Gaztelaia and Gaztelugain. But the pleasure of the eyes has a physiological price. After the three key climbs of this great loop, the last third on the back of the hills on the right bank of the Saison has a roller-coaster (or rather, Souletine) profile that will also leave you with fond memories!
