Head for Haute-Soule, at the bottom of the Sainte-Engrâce valley, the land of canyons and caves. If legend feeds collective heritage here, it's a very real mountain bike loop that takes shape on the sunny Arboti slope, in full light, with wide views over the valley's geological treasures, the Ehüjarre and Kakuetta gorges, the Lakhoura karstic massif and the Anie peak.
Start wisely, as the greatest effort is required at the start, paradoxically on the Col de Soudet road and its mischievously steep gradients. Above this, the Arboti trail, a real balcony overlooking the valley, makes it easier to cross the entire southern slope of the Issarbe peak, between panoramic clearings and mushroom-filled beech forests.
