For your own safety, always take a bottle of water, a hat, warm clothing and footwear suitable for walking.
Depending on weather conditions, certain itineraries are not recommended in bad weather (fog) or are not practicable, or even forbidden, during the winter season.
Some sites are fragile, so stay on the marked trails. Avoid picking wild flowers and disturbing wildlife. Pick up your garbage.
Animals are not allowed on some routes.
1/ From the start sign (Romanesque church), turn right down a small road which becomes a path between two hedges (view of the Combrailles). At a fork, stay on the right-hand path. Pass the bottom of the valley and, at the crossroads, take the path on the right and climb up to a road.
2/ Follow this road to the right for 200 m. At the second fork in the road (cross), turn left and continue straight ahead. Ignore a track on the left and follow the edge of the wood. At the crossroads, cross the road and follow the signs for Les Rouchons. Follow this road through the forest to a pond.
3/ Leave the road, go right into the forest and follow the main path. At the end of the wood, turn left onto a small road (with a view of the Puy-Saint-Gulmier hillock and the terrace church tower). At the crossroads, turn right, pass by a cross (1670) and reach the parking lot.
