GRP®Monts et Barrages en Limousin - Boucle Entre Combade et Briance - Etape 2 - De Sussac à Saint-Méard

The highlight of this second 22 km stage of the Entre Combade et Briance loop is the unmissable Mont Gargan! It offers sublime panoramic views and lets you discover one of the all-too-rare remnants of dry moorland, a natural habitat rich in biodiversity that once crowned all the summits of the Limousin.
As you travel through this region, you'll also be reminded of the great history that saw the maquisards and Resistance fighters here and there against the Nazi invaders and the dictatorial regime of Pétain.
A journey through history that takes you to Saint-Méard and its Echizadour tower, one of the few medieval keeps in the area.
