GRP®Monts et Barrages en Limousin - Boucle Entre Combade et Briance

In the western foothills of the Montagne Limousine, this 65 km itinerant hike winds its way between the Combade and Briance valleys. It takes you up to the emblematic summit of Mont Gargan - culminating at 730 m - which offers sublime panoramic views of the surrounding area, as far as the Puy de Sancy on a clear day.
A land steeped in history, it was also a stronghold of the Resistance during the Second World War, feared by the Germans who called it "Little Russia".
