La balade commence à Ville-en-Tardenois (tous commerces). Avant d'enfourcher la bicyclette et de quitter le village sur les traces de l’art roman, ne pas manquer de passer voir sa massive église romane. Remonter sur Jonquery et le joli village de Cuisles, aux rues étroites et pentues. Violaine et Olizy défilent ensuite, puis Romigny (point culminant du circuit et autre église romane remarquable, avec un cœur voûté en cul de four) et Aougny (lavoir commémoratif d'un aviateur américain de 14/18). Lagery, enfin dispose d'une magnifique halle du XVIème siècle pour une pause ombragée. Suivre en série les « Y » : Lhery, Coémy (emprunter une minuscule route à droite en sortant), Tramery et Poilly jouxtent la vallée de la rivière Ardre, verte et humide (nombreux petits étangs aux alentours de Sarcy). Puis retour à Ville-en-Tardenois. Ces villages sont attestés depuis l'époque gallo-romaine, avec des églises majoritairement construites à partir du XIème siècle puis agrandies ou modifiées par la suite. Le schéma ? Un clocher autour duquel s'articule une nef et le sanctuaire.
