Route
Start from the parachute drop war memorial (shuttle bus stop) in Plagne Centre. Take the path down to Lac Vert. Beware, the path is very steep for ten minutes (*alternative route possible).
At Lac Vert, there is a magnificent view of Mont Blanc, as well as an orientation table, picnic tables and barbecues at your disposal. No swimming allowed.
After a break at Lac Vert, continue on the path going up towards Plagne Aime 2000 (arrival under the MMV Hotel Club). Follow the road to the tracked vehicle garage and join the track that passes under Club Med. Go back down towards the Jean Luc Crétier slalom field (hosts international sports competitions in winter). Return to Plagne Centre.
Variant
To avoid the steep path at the start of the walk, you can follow the road down to the bottom of Plagne Centre. The footpath starts about 100 m after the biomass heating plant (the last building in Plagne Centre).
For your information:
The biomass (wood) heating plant, inaugurated in 2009, heats some fifty or so buildings and shops in Plagne Centre.
In Plagne Aime 2000, the main building is listed as a 20th century architectural heritage building. You can take the Télémétro from Plagne Aime 2000 down to Plagne Centre.

Start from the war memorial commemorating a parachute drop during WW2.
1/ Opposite the monument, take the path to the right that goes down throught the larch trees.
2/ Cross the little river
3/ Take the path that goes back up towards Lac Vert.
4/ You arrive at Lac Vert.
5/ Take the path under Lac Vert.
6/ At the junction, take the path that goes up to the left towards Plagne Aime 2000.
7/ At the MMV residence, go left to join the main road.
8/ At the road, go right and follow the road to the bend after the snow groomer garage.
9/ At the bend, take the path under Club Med 2100 (the red and white building).
10/ At the second junction, take the path that goes down to your left.
11/ Follow this path to the Araucaria hotel.
12/ Cross Plagne Centre to reach the village centre.
