This short circuit - after a walk of around 200 metres along the Chemin des Dames, which is not much fun because of the traffic - will allow you to feel the steepness of the terrain and to think about the poor fate of those who set out to attack it.
You'll come across one of the many ‘destroyed villages’ that dot the Chemin des Dames.
You can then push on to the nearby village of Oulches and make a loop to get back to your starting point, where you can visit the Visitor Centre - Caverne du Dragon, a place of remembrance on the Chemin des Dames...
